VALORANT's Next Agent Will Be ISO: All the Details

Almost two years have passed since Neon, the last Duelist, joined VALORANT's agent roster, and players have been eagerly waiting for stronger agents to be added following Deadlock's arrival in Episode 7 Act 1.

While that's the situation for players, the community got some information on Twitter about the name of the upcoming agent, ISO. So far, all the leaks have made it to the game's live servers.

Riot Games recently published its 'State of Agents' blog, which mentioned that Agent 24 offers new ways to play. Let's see what else we know about VALORANT's new agent ISO.

What Will VALORANT ISO's Abilities Be?

The published blog also shared an image showing the new Agent trying a Chinese delicacy. Riot Games continues its approach of introducing upcoming Agents' ethnic background through food. The recently released teaser shows that the agent will be male. It's not yet clear whether their abilities will mostly revolve around being an exceptional Agent who can turn the tables through unique accuracy and precision. However, we will see the agent as a Duelist. The newly released image also shows the agent surrounded by a purple pattern and holding a knife. Agent 24 could be the next big agent to significantly shift the game's meta after Chamber. Also, Jett, one of the most-picked Duelists in VALORANT, was significantly nerfed, allowing other Agents to take over the number one Duelist spot. If ISO is introduced with extremely strong abilities, the agent's debut could have a major impact on the current meta.

VALORANT ISO's Abilities Revealed!

Undercut (Q)

Undercut equips a molecular bolt and fires it forward, applying a brief vulnerable status to all players it touches. The bolt can pass through solid objects, including walls. It costs 200 credits and can be equipped with two charges per round. When you activate the ability, it makes it easier for your teammates to deal damage to enemies and makes it easier to enter an area to plant or defuse the Spike.

Double Tap (E)

Double Tap gives Iso the ability to start a focus timer that, once complete, puts him into a flow state where enemies you kill or damage in that time drop an energy orb where they fell. Shooting this orb grants you a shield that absorbs an instance of damage from any source. It can only be equipped with one charge per round and costs 150 credits.

Kill Contract (X)

Kill Contract summons a pocket-dimension arena, letting you launch an energy pillar across the map that pulls you and the first enemy hit into the dueling arena. You and your opponent will duel to the death, and the winner returns to the map to continue the round.

Contingency (C)

Equip to gather prismatic energy. The ability, which blocks bullets, fires to push forward an indestructible wall of energy.

When Will VALORANT ISO Release?

Riot Games has teased new in-game content through player cards ahead of the upcoming Act update. Given that the "Bulletproof" player card in the Episode 7 Act 2 Battlepass is closely tied to Agent 24, we can expect the new Duelist to join the VALORANT scene at the start of Episode 7 Act 3 on October 31/November 1, 2023, or at the latest, in Episode 7 Act 4 if it's pushed back further.
