KAY/O, VALORANT's latest agent, has already become one of VALORANT's war machines with his many abilities, from neutralizing radiants to suppressing enemies. Moreover, there are some methods by which he can use these abilities more functionally. We have prepared 5 tips you can use while playing KAY/O that can make the agent much stronger. We think you will find success in the game more easily by using the tips we mention. Enjoy reading!
1. Know the Ranges
As the game becomes competitive, it is very important to know which setups to use when playing KAY/O. Along with that, knowing how important abilities are and understanding how an ability affects the enemy when activated in a specific area will bring KAY/O victory. The setups for the ZERO/POINT (E) and FRAG/MENT (C) abilities must be known for both effective starts and later scenarios.
2. Understand Suppression Limits
Knowing that enemies are suppressed will help teams carry out an effective game plan. However, this offers no benefit other than disabling enemies' abilities. This means that enemies are free to shoot back even when suppressed. The important thing is to understand how suppression limits work. Instead of using suppression to interfere with your enemies, deterring enemies from the point they are trying to invade with their team can be a good way.
3. Learn Pop Flashes
When using FLASH/DRIVE (Q), pop flashes will be the essence of initiating. Even if pop flashes are used to pass from a longer distance, the real power is how long the flash lasts for those looking directly at it. If pop flashes are lit behind the player, they will have a very small effect compared with what the enemy should get. When KAY/O provides these pop flashes to teammates, the pop flashes shine, and if used effectively, your enemies will not be able to answer you. That way, you can advance thanks to pop flashes with little or no aggression.
4. Be Aggressive
KAY/O can be used as an agent who can disable others. Using all of KAY/O's skills to carry out a plan in your head is vital to the team's success. However, after using KAY/O, you must act quickly so as not to let enemies take advantage of some of KAY/O's shortcomings. Once your plan is made, stick to it and play KAY/O aggressively, choosing who you will kill for the team.
5. Gather Information and Coordinate
Besides being aggressive, it may seem illogical to say that playing slow and steady wins games. However, for KAY/O to truly show his power on a team, he needs to take advantage of these opportunities. You must be calm to understand where and when the enemy will attack. Throwing the ZERO/POINT (E) knife is a great way to scout. Use the knife to find out which enemy agent is where. When a flash needs to be thrown, make sure the rest of the team at least looks the other way. Another strategy could be to force entry with KAY/O's NULL/CMD (X) ultimate, which is a perfect scouting tool. NULL/CMD (X) is arguably better than Phoenix's Run It Back (X) ultimate. Since enemies will be distracted while killing the ongoing suppression, KAY/O can be picked up even if he enters the field recklessly. Knowing when and which skills to use can make the difference for rounds.
