VALORANT Premier is getting an upgrade in the next patch. Most of the changes will be quality-of-life adjustments that improve the player experience. VALORANT 7.09 Patch Notes Premier Changes

Riot Games announced that from the release of Episode 7 Act III, teams with a higher Premier Score will get better seeding in the playoffs. Playoff queues will also have a 15-minute head start for "better matchmaking". Teams will queue up and have to stay in the lobby for 15 minutes. Teams will now have one timeout per side, and an extra timeout will be given if the match goes to overtime.

Among the other big changes to the mode is the addition of a practice queue. Players will now be able to queue up with their teams on certain non-match days to practice against other teams. These matches will not affect the player's Premier score.

The last two changes apply to registration days and crests. The mode's registration period has been extended from 24 hours to a day and a half. This gives players enough time to find a team or form one with their friends.

Finally, Premier Crests will now reflect team performance. The crest will change throughout the stage of the competition for you to show off to your opponents and friends.

The new changes will be available to players with the patch notes on October 31.
