VALORANT Settings

If you can't hear your teammates or they can't hear you, the first thing you should check is your VALORANT audio settings. You can reach your settings by doing the following:

• Click the gear icon in the menu.
• Go to Settings.
• Click Audio settings.

From here, you'll want to make sure you've selected the correct output and input devices. The output device is the headphones or speakers you use to hear sound. For the input device, you need to select the name of the microphone you want others to hear you through. You'll also want to make sure party and team voice chat are enabled, with suitable keybinds that are easy to reach during the game. If you have them, we recommend using the buttons on the side of your mouse. If your teammates still can't hear you or you're too quiet, adjust the microphone volume accordingly.

Input and Output Devices

If you can't find the right input and output devices when selecting them in VALORANT, you may have disabled them in Windows without meaning to. Follow the instructions below to fix this:

• Open the Windows menu.
• Go to Settings.
• Click System and go to sound settings.

While you're here, go to manage sound devices, where you can find all the input and output devices you can use. Make sure all the input and output devices you want to use are enabled. We recommend disabling all other sound devices you aren't actively using so you don't select them by accident in the game.

Run VALORANT as Administrator

A quick but simple fix for VALORANT's voice chat not working is to run the game as administrator.

• Right-click VALORANT when launching.
• Run as administrator.
• Allow your device to open it as Administrator.

Running a game as administrator can give the game permissions it wouldn't normally have, and this often solves your audio problems.
