What to Expect From Apple's First 2022 Event

Apple comes out with new products every year. Apple unveiled its new flagship phones, the iPhone 13, this past September. Alongside that, we also got the 7th-generation Apple Watch and a new generation of the iPad Mini. Apple Products Launching in 2022

iPad Air 5

At this event, the new 5th-generation iPad Air will make its debut. The new iPad Air will feature the company's newest chip, the A15. It will also come with a 12-megapixel front camera with Center Stage support and 5G support on cellular models. The iPad Air 5 will keep the same 10.9-inch display as the previous generation and will have a single rear camera. On top of that, the new iPad will also give users a USB-C port. It will be offered in Space Gray, Silver, Green, Rose Gold, and Sky Blue color options. Just like the previous generation, this one won't have Face ID either. Instead, it will have Touch ID built into the power button, as we're used to from older models.

iPhone SE+ 5G

The long-awaited iPhone SE+ 5G will also make its appearance at this event. More affordable than Apple's other iPhone models, it will feature a 4.7-inch display. Since the device's design won't change, it will keep the thick bezels and single rear camera users are used to. The biggest difference between this iPhone SE model and its predecessor will be 5G support. Beyond that, it will also get the A15 chip we saw in the iPhone 13 lineup. According to rumors, the major design overhaul for the iPhone SE will instead come with the model launching in 2023 or 2024.

27-inch iMac

The 27-inch iMac, which still has the old iMac design, will get a new version at the upcoming event. The new model will offer users a 120Hz refresh rate and ProMotion technology. The device is also expected to use a mini-LED display. The new 27-inch iMac will feature Apple's new M1 Max and M1 Pro Apple Silicon chips. Its design will also be largely the same as the 24-inch iMac.

Mac Mini

New versions of the tiny beast Mac Mini will debut at 2022's first event. The new versions will feature Apple Silicon's new M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. Even though it switched to the M1 chip in 2020, the Mac Mini still uses Intel chips in its higher-end versions — with these new versions, it will finally run entirely on Apple Silicon chips.
