When Will Arma 4 Release?

Bohemia Interactive has finally announced the release date of the long-awaited Arma 4. The Czech studio made the announcement during a concert event. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Bohemia Interactive partnered with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra to hold a concert of video game music. At this special event, music from other popular Bohemia Interactive games such as DayZ, Ylands, and Vigor was played alongside music from the Arma series. However, the biggest surprise of the night was the announcement of when Arma 4 will release.

When Will Arma 4 Release?

This announcement was made quite briefly but effectively. As the concert reached its final segment, the Arma 4 logo and the information that the game will release in 2027 appeared on the giant screen behind the orchestra for only a few seconds. Still, that brief moment was enough to catch the attention of both the audience in the hall and those watching the event live. The announcement, which quickly spread on social media, both excited Arma fans and raised expectations for the new game.

The Arma series has a long history. The first game was released in 2006, and Bohemia Interactive has since developed the Arma brand with great success. The series' most recent main entry, Arma 3, came out in 2013 and reached a wide audience. However, Bohemia Interactive developed Arma Reforger to push the series further. Arma Reforger, which entered early access in 2022 and had its 1.0 version released in 2023, was designed as a precursor to Arma 4. This game was developed for both PC and consoles, and proved that the Arma series could succeed on consoles as well. Its playability on next-gen consoles like the Xbox Series X and S in particular was seen as an important step for the series' future.

That said, it's fair to say Arma fans have been eagerly awaiting Arma 4's release. While waiting until 2027 may seem like a long time for many players, we'd like to remind you that expectations for this game are quite high.

Have the System Requirements Been Revealed?

Official system requirements for Arma 4 have not been announced yet. However, looking at the series' previous games and Arma Reforger, we can predict that the new game will also have fairly demanding hardware requirements. The Arma series is known for its realistic combat simulations and open worlds.

Which platforms Bohemia Interactive will release this major game on is also a matter of interest. Having stepped onto consoles with Arma Reforger, the company may plan to bring Arma 4 to next-gen consoles (Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5) as well. Beyond that, it seems certain the game will also reach a large audience on PC.
