When Will ChatGPT's Advanced Voice Mode Arrive?

In addition to a Plus subscription, users will need an Android device running app version 1.2024.206 or higher, or an iPhone running iOS 16.4 or higher with app version 1.2024.206 or higher. If you win the Alpha version lottery and get selected, OpenAI will send you an email. You'll also see a tooltip in the bottom-right corner of the ChatGPT mobile app that lets you select the new feature. That's how you'll start using Advanced Voice Mode.

What Features Will ChatGPT's Advanced Voice Mode Have?

Advanced Voice Mode will currently be a mode that lets us do everything we can already do with voice in ChatGPT. Except for singing! The mode won't have the ability to sing. The company addresses this as follows: "To respect creators' rights, we've applied several mitigations, including new filters, to prevent Advanced Voice Mode from responding with music content, including singing."

What Will the Daily Usage Limit Be?

According to OpenAI, both inputs and outputs for Advanced Voice come with daily usage limits, but no comment has yet been made on how long these will be. The AI will send users a warning when they have 3 minutes of conversation time left, then end the conversation and send the user back to the standard voice interface.
