CoD Mobile's Tropical Vision patch in Season 5 has barely wrapped up, and developers are already gearing up for the game's next big update. Modern Warfare 2 has now come to light, and over the next few months we may get to see the rise of handheld crossovers, with Season 6 potentially marking the starting point. From the release date to possible maps, here's everything you need to know about CoD Mobile Season 6.

When Is the CoD Mobile Season 6 2022 Release Date?

For now, an exact release date for CoD Mobile Season 6 has not yet been confirmed. However, based on the current Battle Pass expiration date, we can confidently predict the new season will land on Friday, July 1, 2022. If previous updates are anything to go by, new season launches typically arrive on the same day the previous Battle Pass expires. As always, unforeseen delays can spoil even the best-laid plans. Is There a New Map in CoD Mobile Season 6 2022?

While nothing has been locked in for CoD Mobile Season 6 yet, early intel points to the return of a classic map. Following a developer comment about "a map older than a COD title from over 10 years ago," insiders have hinted that Favela could be the map in focus. First released in 2009's Modern Warfare 2 before appearing in Ghosts, Favela may now be set to make its first mobile debut as part of the Season 6 update.

Given that Modern Warfare 2 (2022) recently came to light and that the apparent return of many classic maps, including Favela, is on the table, a CoD Mobile port would certainly be timely. Are Test Server Weapons Coming to CoD Mobile Season 6 2022?

Every other season in CoD Mobile, developers tend to roll out a new build on a test server. While not all of the content in this unique instance ends up reaching the full game, it's usually our best indicator of what's coming next. Thanks to CoD Mobile Season 5's unique test build, we learned about three new weapons in development. First was the Oden Assault Rifle, which was launched as part of the previous update. The remaining two pieces of equipment have not yet come to light, so they're likely to be additions in Season 6.

The KSP45 SMG and LCAR9 Pistol both appeared in the latest test build. As a result, there's a good chance at least one of them will make an impact in CoD Mobile's next patch cycle.
