FutSheriff, the well-known source for FIFA leaks, has stated that changes to position switching are coming in the next Ultimate Team cycle. According to the report, position switchers will be changed to reflect base and alternate positions. What else do we know about FIFA 23 position change cards?
FIFA 23 New Update: Details on Position Change Cards
With the upcoming update, players will have positions and alternate positions they can be switched to. FutSheriff also noted that there won't be a specific position switcher item in the game. In addition, they said players will only be switchable to these positions in FIFA 23, and there will no longer be dedicated position change cards. We can think of this leaked change as similar to MLB The Show's Diamond Dynasty. Players will have specific positions, like a third baseman, and alternate infield positions they can be lined up in. If they're placed in their base position, they perform with the stats shown on the card. If they're lined up in a secondary position, they may see a slight drop in some stats. That's all we know about the FIFA 23 update for now, but we'll keep you updated as more details come out. Stay tuned! :)
