As you may recall, EA had announced it was ending its current partnership with FIFA, and the license's new name going forward was set to be EA Sports FC. But before that change happens, players will get to experience the game one last time under the FIFA 23 name when it launches in the second half of 2022. FIFA 23 will bring plenty of new features, including changes to FUT mode in the game. Will FUT mode be refreshed in FIFA 23? What changes will there be?

Will the FIFA 23 Affinity System Be Removed?

FUT mode lets players build their squads using the player cards they own, with the goal of putting together the strongest team possible. To regulate this mode and balance out squads, FUT has an affinity and chemistry system between players. Because of this, if several players are from the same country, club, or league, their affinity will be stronger and their stats will increase accordingly. Since this system is a fairly important strategy in building a squad, it shouldn't be underestimated, but it looks like this could change with FIFA 23. Leaks suggest that the individual stat-boosting system will disappear in the next FIFA to give players more freedom. Let's see what happens, we'll all be watching together!
