EA SPORTS FC FUTURES and adidas Team Up for a Major Event in Berlin

The FC Futures and adidas ambassador Ian Wright also took part in the event, which brought some of the UEFA EURO 2024 excitement along with it

EA SPORTS FC FUTURES and Adidas Berlin Event Takes Place!

Last week, EA SPORTS FC FUTURES hosted a UEFA Football Festival event in Berlin, home of adidas Football. Having already opened up football to more than 170,000 people* in its first year, the FC FUTURES initiative teamed up with adidas and UEFA at the event to run training sessions for more than 50 local young girls and boys, taking another step toward its goal of continuing to grow world football for everyone.

Led by official UEFA and German Football Association (DFB) coaches, the training sessions draw from the FC FUTURES Academy, an online training library that uses in-game footage from EA SPORTS FC 24 to develop football skills and is currently available for free in six languages, including German. FC FUTURES's use of in-game footage for its training library blurs the line between football's physical and digital worlds, offering players and coaches an innovative way to boost engagement with the game.

Held at the adidas Football Home in the UEFA EURO 2024 Fan Zone, the training sessions focused on speed, inspired by adidas reintroducing the F50 boot featured in EA SPORTS FC 24. After a 9-year absence, the iconic F50 is making a comeback with upgraded technology to help today's athletes use their speed to break rigid patterns of play and experience the excitement of football on their own terms.

FC FUTURES and adidas ambassador Ian Wright also joined the session, giving the young players an unforgettable experience while sharing his own experiences with football and how initiatives like FC FUTURES can matter for younger generations.

Located in the UEFA EURO 2024 Fan Zone in front of the Reichstag, the adidas Football Home will remain active throughout the tournament. The 18,000 m² space gives visitors the chance to experience a football festival where they're invited to take part, watch, and celebrate the joy of the game.
