Electronic Arts announced, as part of Women's History Month celebrations, a new sponsorship agreement with its longtime partner UEFA that makes it the title partner of the Women's Football Leadership Programme (WFLP).

Now in its tenth year, the WFLP is a week-long annual program backed by IMD Business School that aims to develop the careers of women who can shape the football industry today and in the future. The program has been running since 2014, and more than 240 women have benefited from it so far.

This year's program, held in partnership with EA SPORTS FC, will take place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland in August, and will support more than 30 women in the football industry, with candidates selected based on their future potential in the football world. Featuring opening remarks from current industry leaders, various group training sessions, and one-on-one coaching, the WFLP is designed to help participants build leadership skills, foster networking, and gain the confidence to reach their full potential.

Andrea Hopelain, EA SPORTS General Manager and Senior Vice President of Publishing, said, "Women's History Month is all about celebrating the achievements of women, and what better way to support that than partnering with UEFA on this incredible program? In keeping with this year's Women's History Month theme of inspiring inclusion, we're truly proud to help pave the way for women in our organization and across this massive industry to become leaders in the world of football."

UEFA Academy Director Thomas Junod added: "We are thrilled to welcome EA SPORTS FC as the new presenting partner of our well-established UEFA Women's Football Leadership Programme. This unique initiative will offer a dynamic platform for exchange, networking, and empowerment, supporting the advancement of women poised to shape the future of football, and EA SPORTS' involvement will bring fresh, innovative ideas and perspectives to our conversations."

This sponsorship is one of many commitments EA SPORTS FC has made to the importance of women in football, following the 2022 EA SPORTS Women's Football Summit, at which a series of initiatives were announced, as well as the addition of women to EA SPORTS FC 24 Ultimate Team this year.

You can find more details about this year's program on the EA SPORTS LinkedIn channel and on the UEFA Academy website.
