FIFA 24 Ultimate Team's New Pack System Is Coming! FUT 24 Dynamic

FIFA 24, or EA Sports FC 24 as it's now called, isn't far off, and with a new era starting this year in particular, there are plenty of questions and expectations swirling around it.

Following the split between the FIFA and EA brands, new information about FC 24 keeps coming out and leaking. We'll keep sharing the latest leaks and updates with you as we get them.

NOTE: We'll keep using FIFA 24 instead of FC 24 until players get used to the new name.

According to the latest leaks, a major change is coming to FIFA 24 Ultimate Team mode.

According to the leak, we're moving to a system where opening packs with the new dynamic packs will increase your chances of getting a better card.

What Is the FIFA 24 Ultimate Team (FUT 24) Dynamic Pack?

• The more packs you open, the higher your chances will get of pulling a higher-rated, more valuable card from new packs.
• You'll now start seeing a percentage displayed alongside the packs you open. To give an example: when opening a pack that could contain a +90 rated player, the chance of pulling a +90 rated player might start at 5%, and if it still hasn't shown up by, say, your 15th pull, the odds will increase on your next pulls and you'll be able to see that.

We already knew a new pack system had been in the works for a while, and it looks like, barring any setbacks, the Dynamic Pack era will begin in Ultimate Team when FIFA 24 launches.

According to FUTZone's report, EA has been working on the new pack system since January and will roll it out 100% with the new game!

What Do FUT Players Think About the New Pack System?

The new pack system we expect to see with FIFA 24 Ultimate Team has split FUT players into two camps...

Some have pointed out that this feature can only be a positive for the game, that more transparency around pack odds makes it more appealing, and that it hopefully keeps people from overspending on the game.

The upcoming pack system will end up resembling the system in card games like Hearthstone, letting players predict the value they'll get from the packs they open.

On top of that, there's also a considerable group who think the system Ultimate Team is moving to will become what's known as pay-to-win, where spending money becomes essential to succeed.

Thanks to free SBCs and objectives, spending money on FUT to build the best team was never strictly necessary, but that will change with the arrival of this new mechanic.

This new system, while letting players boost their pack odds, will also mean they're effectively encouraged to gamble and spend money on empty packs before hoping to land something better.

What Do We Think About the Dynamic Pack Coming With FUT 24?

Honestly, since this feature that's dividing players hasn't arrived and been fully implemented yet, no definitive judgment can be made, but I want to say I lean toward the negative side.

Previously, since there was no visibility while opening packs, we could comfortably stop whenever we wanted and were only fighting our own willpower. Now FUT players will not only have to stop themselves but also fight against the percentages, and won't be able to decide on their own when to stop. In the past, after opening 10 packs and coming up empty, we could curse loudly and just quit opening packs; now, as we keep seeing our odds of pulling a better card rise, it'll be harder to hold ourselves back, and that will make us spend more money on the game.

As I said at the start, this is a leak and we don't yet know for certain what we'll actually see...

When Will FC 24/FIFA 24 Come Out?

Whether the game that will be called FIFA 24 is even in development yet is a big question mark, and anyone claiming to know for sure is lying.

While it's certain that EA will release EA Sports FC 24, we expect a comprehensive announcement and release date reveal in July.

FIFA Series Release Dates in Recent Years:

• FIFA 21 - October 9, 2020
• FIFA 22 - September 27, 2021
• FIFA 23 - September 27, 2022

Our prediction is that FC 24 (FIFA 24) will release on Friday, September 29, 2023!
