Even though the game is still a long way from release, news and details about FM 24 have started leaking out. In our previous articles we covered the game's release date, price, and new features, but in this one we'll be talking about the best players in the game.

In this article, where we have put together the best players in the game, we want to remind you that in FM 24 we're looking at their real-life value and reputation before their possible in-game attributes. Given that players considered among the best 10 in real life should also have very strong stats in FM24, it's fair to say our list won't look ridiculous once the game is out.

Who Are the Best Players in FM 24?

10. Sadio Mané (Bayern Munich)

Sadio Mane, who was punished after his fight with Leroy Sane and became a focal point for criticism, hasn't actually played all that badly this season overall, but he seems to have fallen out of favor due to his injuries and being far from his Liverpool form.

Stepping out of Salah's shadow to fill the void left by Lewandowski took real courage in many people's eyes, but it was expected that this season would be a bit weaker as he adjusts to his new position and the league. Despite the struggles and injuries he's dealt with, it's also easy to say that not much has changed about Sadio Mane's ability. He can still dribble brilliantly in from the left wing and keeps hunting down goalkeepers with his powerful strikes. If you want to sign one of the best players for positions like left winger or false nine in FM24, you could start with Sadio Mane.

9. Neymar (PSG)

Talking about his ability could be seen as provocative among football fans. Neymar, one of the purest talents in the world, is talked about more for his off-field life and his rivalry with Mbappe than for his football. Even though he's packed plenty of success into his 10-plus-year career, failing to win the Champions League with PSG and failing to reach the World Cup final with Brazil makes it harder for him to be considered among the very best. Even so, I think having him and playing with him on your team will boost your enjoyment of the game, so I'm including him at number 9 on the list.

8. Luka Modric (Real Madrid)

It's been at least 3 years since we started saying every season would be his last at Real Madrid and that someone else would take his place. As a huge professional who still leaves us wondering if anyone is better than him in his current position, playing 1-2 seasons in the game with Modric and enjoying it isn't a bad idea at all, thanks to both his experience and his ability, which will always have you writing him down as the number 1 in central midfield.

7. Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona)

Lewandowski, who has become one of the greatest strikers of all time, ended his long-running spell at Bayern to take on a new challenge in his career, moving to Catalonia to break up the Real Madrid and Benzema hegemony. This season hasn't gone all that well for him, but I'm confident that once he gets past the adjustment issues and his teammates get used to him, he'll have a much more successful season in 2024. Pulling him away from Barcelona probably won't happen, but starting your career at Barcelona to end Real's era, doing it alongside Lewa, could be a great idea.

6. Harry Kane (Tottenham)

I can already hear you saying enough is enough, leave Tottenham and go win a trophy. Who knows if he'll actually do that in real life, but if you're in charge of one of the biggest clubs in FM24, I'd say put Harry Kane at the top of your transfer list. Since he's been in the football arena from such a young age, Kane can feel like he's been around forever, but I'd like to remind you that he's only 30 and still has a long career ahead of him.

5. Erling Haaland (Man City)

With Messi and Ronaldo's era nearly over, Haaland, the biggest contender alongside Mbappe in the debate over who the new GOATs will be, has found his role within Man City's passing machine and keeps scoring goals more than ever before. Since signing him won't be easy at all, you'll either need to move to the biggest club in the world or start your career at Man City.

4. Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)

Benzema, who has had the biggest share in Real Madrid's success in recent years, has spent the last 2 years free of anyone's shadow and finally gotten the recognition he deserves. Having won the Ballon d'Or, proving he's currently the best player in the world, Benzema keeps helping Real Madrid chase another Champions League trophy. Let's see if anyone can stop the Whites this season with Karim Benzema leading the way.

3. Kevin De Bruyne (Man City)

De Bruyne, the first name that comes to mind when you think of assists, reached his 100th assist for Man City with his assist to Haaland in the last match. Having reached a whole different level under Guardiola, he can be considered the best player in the modern number 10 role.

There's not really a surprise here, just maybe a swap in the ranking, but after his World Cup triumph, Messi may have earned the right to sit above Mbappe one last time. Watching what Mbappe does in real life, it feels like someone's controlling him in a console game. He glides past everyone so effortlessly with such incredible pace and delivers the ball exactly where it needs to go that you can hardly believe it's real.

When you consider that PSG has practically handed over the keys to the club just to keep him, I have to stress that he's the most valuable player in the world, and you'll need to make a whooole lot of sacrifices to sign him.

1. Lionel Messi (PSG)

We have reached the top. After finally securing the World Cup, the missing link in his legacy, Messi delivered his biggest message yet to everyone, including the Ronaldo fans, showing once again that he can be better than anyone else in the world whenever he wants to be. Despite his advancing age, the GOAT, who stays at least a step ahead of everyone with his footballing brain and what he does on the pitch, is among the rare names who can remain the best until the day they retire. You could transfer him in FM24 given his age, or start your career with PSG to spend his final years alongside him.
