FM 24 is still a while away, but the game's wonderkids are already getting attention little by little. As Gamer Papers, before the tactical meta, gameplay, match engine and other details settle in, we keep bringing you the best wonderkids you can sign the moment the game launches. In today's piece on FM 24's most promising young players, it's time for the number 10s. Here's the FM 24 attacking midfielders list:

Real-life impact might not be what it used to be, but especially thanks to Kevin De Bruyne, a new playmaking number 10 definition has started to emerge — one that's technical, combative and clinical all at once. Where number 10s used to be judged purely on raw talent, didn't track back, and were simply carried by the team, now players are showing up who help out defensively, link the midfield, and still finish the job in attack. Every player on this list has high-level talent, but let's see who can develop that physical edge and shake KDB off his throne.

So who makes the list of the most talented number 10s you can get in Football Manager 2024?

8) Simone Pafundi

• Club: Udinese
• Age: 17
• Position: AM (C)

Simone Pafundi's physique isn't bad at all for his age, and his decision-making in particular is at a very high level for someone so young. His physical attributes have big gaps, but that's true of most playmakers his age. His talent ceiling is very high, but he still has plenty of attributes to work on. If you love developing youngsters and enjoy sticking with the same save for a long time, Pafundi could be exactly the player you're looking for. It wouldn't be wrong to call him a keeper for the long haul.

7) Gabriel Misehouy

• Club: Ajax
• Age: 17
• Position: AM (C), CM (A)

Coming through Ajax's academy is a huge advantage for him, because unlike Pafundi, Gabriel Misehouy is an attacking midfielder with higher physical quality but lower technique. If he raises his technical quality down the line, he could become one of the best two-way attacking midfielders around. Of course, he still has a long way to go, which is why he's on this list. If you pull him out of Ajax early and develop him with the right mentality, within a few years you could give him the shirt and turn him into one of your team's most important players.

6) Bruno Iglesias — Real Madrid 56, potential 70-90, age 20

• Club: Real Madrid
• Age: 20
• Position: AM (C), LW

The oldest player on the list, Bruno Iglesias is one of the youngsters Football Manager's editors expect a lot from. Unlike the other players here, he's already more developed with improved stats, and while pulling Iglesias away from Real Madrid doesn't look easy, he's a wonderkid worth pursuing on loan. Focus especially on his finishing and you could shape him into a hidden striker or an attacking midfielder who contributes plenty of goals.

5) Valentin Carboni

• Club: Inter
• Age: 18
• Position: AM (C), ST

One of the best finishers on the list, Carboni is a true hidden striker. With his pace, finishing, technique and decision-making, he'll turn into a player who's extremely effective in front of goal — pair him with a good partner and you can use him as a striker outright, or play him as a hidden forward just behind the striker. He can also play out wide, but using Carboni through the middle is the better call, and if you develop his mental attributes, you'll end up with a perfect "9.5"-style player.

4) Arda Güler

• Club: Real Madrid
• Age: 18
• Position: AM (C), RW

The player who gets us most excited on this list is definitely Arda Güler. After his move to Real Madrid, Türkiye's national pride became one of the most talked-about players in the world, and if he keeps developing this season, he's a player who could climb to the very top of this list. We hope everything goes well for him and that he becomes one of the best players in the world. Getting him away from Real Madrid in-game doesn't look very realistic, but you could take him on loan in the early years of your save and enjoy Arda's talents. If you also improve his physical strength, I'd say it's a safe bet that he'll be one of the top elite prospects two or three seasons into your FM save.

3) Eliesse Ben Seghir

• Club: Monaco
• Age: 18
• Position: AM (C), CM (A)

Another player with the same profile as Gabriel Misehouy is Ben Seghir. The difference is that he's more talented and fits the KDB mold even better. If you can sign him from Monaco, you can use him centrally in midfield or in a number 8 role and shape him however you like. Why? Because he's one of those rare talents that can take the shape of whatever mould you pour him into ;)

2) Alberto Moleiro — Las Palmas, Age 19

• Age: 19
• Position: AM (C), LW

The top two spots on this list are genuinely a toss-up. Both are unbelievably talented and are shaping up to be among the best players of the future. As promising as their potential looks, in real life they'll need to keep developing and raising their base ratings. On the Football Manager side of things, this kid has it all — dribbling, first touch, vision. You can comfortably use Moleiro on the left wing too, and if you sign him, the first thing you need to do is decide: number 10 or winger. I'm one hundred percent sure that if you commit to a single role, the results will be excellent!

NOTE: At the time of writing this article, nothing had been confirmed yet, but Barcelona transfer rumors were flying around, and if he does end up moving to Barcelona, signing him ourselves doesn't look very likely.

1) Facundo Buonanotte

• Club: Brighton & Hove Albion
• Age: 18
• Position: AM (C), RW

It didn't surprise me at all to see a Brighton player at the top of this list. With their investment in youth, they practically scream that they're the club creating the best pipeline of young talent in the English Premier League. As Brighton & Hove Albion push forward with that vision, Facundo Buonanotte is one of the biggest gems in their squad. Even though he's only 18, this young number 10 already looks like a complete midfielder — alongside the rare quality of his left foot, his physical strength and team play fit today's new-generation football perfectly. In terms of pure talent, Moleiro and even Arda Güler are a step or two ahead of Facundo, but I genuinely believe that Facundo, as the game becomes more physical, could become the face of that new generation of football and, if he keeps developing, could even take KDB's throne. If you bring him into your squad, focus especially on developing his technical ability and finishing!
