LoL's New Champion Milio: Who Is He and What Are His Abilities?

At the start of 2023, Riot Games decided to share details of four new champions with players. We'll get to see these champions in the game once Season 13 begins. One of these champions is Milio, a new mage support. Milio will be League of Legends' first mage support since Renata Glasc's release in February 2022. Who Is LoL's Milio?

Milio is a "lovable" mage support from Ixtal. Given that Ixtal isn't very well represented in League of Legends lore outside of Qiyana's story, this is an exciting prospect for players. Lead champion producer Lexi 'Lexical' Gao commented, "Milio, who shows an incredible understanding of the Fire Axiom at a young age, uses fire not to raze cities but to soothe wounds." This comment gives us some insight into the new champion's abilities. As Milio travels across Runeterra overcoming the challenges he faces, he seems very cheerful and proud, "carrying his family's hopes and dreams on his back." His journey will broaden his horizons and introduce him to new people and places... Whatever challenge he faces, he'll always be ready to act and take on his next adventure.

What Are LoL Milio's Abilities?

For now, we only have some statements about the character to go on — Milio's abilities haven't been officially revealed yet. However, based on what we mentioned earlier and the reveal shown in the League of Legends Season 13 launch teaser, Milio will use fire abilities to heal allies like a traditional mage support.

When Is LoL's New Champion Milio Coming?

We currently know very little about the champion, and unfortunately no release date has been announced yet. We expect Milio to arrive in the game in Season 13.
