NetEase has announced its next-gen shooter Marvel Rivals! The game features many beloved heroes. It's shaping up to be a 6v6 PvP multiplayer shooter. While there's talk of Marvel Rivals becoming VALORANT's new rival, comparisons to Overwatch have also come up. With characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Loki, Groot, Doctor Strange, Rocket Raccoon, and Magneto, the game will soon launch its Alpha and Beta programs. So let's take a look at how to sign up for the Marvel Rivals closed alpha, and when the beta test will start.

How to Sign Up for the Marvel Rivals Closed Alpha

To sign up for the Marvel Rivals Closed Alpha, you need to go to the official website and fill out the sign-up form.

You'll be asked a few short questions about your region and your experience with similar PvP games on the market, and that will complete your entry. However, filling out the form alone does not guarantee access to the Closed Alpha.

Since the game is currently undergoing a limited test, and open tests will certainly follow later on, Closed Alpha access is unfortunately not guaranteed right now. There are millions of applicants, and you'll simply be one of many hoping for an early invite. The Closed Alpha will begin in May.

When Will the Marvel Rivals Beta Start?

After the Closed Alpha and likely further private test phases, Marvel Rivals will most likely release a Closed or Open Beta.

This will let players try a more polished and tested version of Marvel Rivals following feedback from the Closed Alpha. During this time, the superhero shooter will open up to a much wider player base, pushing NetEase Games to stress-test the limits of its multiplayer servers.

Since the Marvel Rivals beta hasn't been confirmed yet, it's not clear exactly when it will happen or whether the game will expand to platforms beyond PC.

Will It Be Free?

Yes, the game will be offered to players for free, just like similar titles VALORANT and Overwatch. It will be a team-based 6v6 PvP shooter. At launch, we'll get to meet 16 characters, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Loki, Groot, Doctor Strange, Rocket Raccoon, and Magneto.
