How Much Did Microsoft Pay to Acquire Blizzard?

Microsoft announced it will acquire Activision Blizzard in an all-cash transaction valued at $68.7 billion, inclusive of Activision Blizzard's net cash, at $95 per share. If the acquisition closes successfully, the company will become the world's third-largest gaming company, behind Tencent and Sony. The acquisition plan will include popular games like Warcraft, Diablo, Overwatch, Call of Duty, and Candy Crush, as well as global esports events.

Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella said on the matter: "Gaming is the most dynamic and exciting category in entertainment across all platforms today and will play a key role in the development of metaverse platforms.
