What Should the OSM 5-3-2 Formation Look Like?
We can already hear you saying "the formation should be 5-3-2." But of course, in football, a formation means much more than just a lineup. First off, if you want to play 5-3-2, you need wing-backs with very, very high attacking power. You can't pull this tactic off with wing-backs who are good defensively but mediocre going forward. So if you're going to try this tactic, take a good look at your squad, your players, and their playstyles. This tactic really will bring success with the right team! The 2015 Barcelona tactic shown below is a pretty good example. With Dani Alves — arguably the best in the world at his role in history — and Jordi Alba, who has provided above-average attacking contributions for years, playing 5-3-2 is entirely possible.
