Dying Light 2: How to Complete the Cheers Quest

Dying Light 2, to say the least, is vast. After starting the game for the first time and going through a fairly long "tutorial," players get access to a massive parkour playground filled with all kinds of deadly enemies, an extensive story to tackle, and tons of side quests. Some of these side quests are a bit easier to complete than others. In the early hours of Dying Light 2, many players will find themselves in a side quest called Cheers, which tasks them with finding a water supplier named Marco. While the map gives players a good idea of where Marco is, finding him can be a bit tricky for some.

Dying Light 2: How to Complete the Cheers Quest?

Once players have progressed far enough in the game to gain access to "free roam" (after escaping the hospital with Hakan), they'll be able to head toward a massive Church some distance away (not too far from the hospital). This area, known as the Bazaar, is the first stop in Aiden's search for his sister. The main quest will have players meet with NPCs in the Bazaar, which serves as a perfect lead-in to this particular quest. The first time you enter the Church, you'll be greeted with a cutscene, after which you can explore the bustling area inside. Just past where the cutscene ends, in a small subdivided area, you'll see a character named Julian. As the NPC, you'll find yourself in a bit of trouble, since you're accused of poisoning someone in the Bazaar. After the first cutscene, you'll need to talk to Julian again to start getting to the bottom of things. Julian will eventually reveal that he bought water from a supplier named Marco (which some suspect was contaminated) and that he also sold some water to a person named Hans. After finishing your conversation with Julian, you'll be given two quests: Find Marco and Find Hans. These two points appear on the map as diamonds marked 1 and 2, respectively. It's up to you which quest to tackle first, but for simplicity's sake, it helps to head to Marco first.

How Do You Find Marco in Dying Light 2?

When you reach the "Find Marco" diamond on the map, you'll be near a large building. There are multiple entry points for this location, but one of the easiest ways in is through one of the many open windows on the top floor. Once inside, you'll need to wander around the floor until you spot a partially closed door. Pushing this door will cause Aiden to force it open, revealing a pitch-black room. You'll then need to click your flashlight (T key on PC) and reveal a small building access gap that will let you move down to the second floor. You'll want to avoid going all the way down before talking to Marco, since you'll need to speak with him before dealing with anything on the first floor. Marco is found on the second floor, standing next to a window in a kitchen-like area. Talking to Marco will let you continue the adventure and force you to deal with a threat downstairs (on the first floor). After clearing out all the zombies, you'll make a choice between handing Marco over to the Bazaar or letting Julian pay for his mistakes. • Threatening to hand Marco over will lead to a boss fight with the NPC, and players should be warned that Marco is a fairly tough boss this early in the game.
• Handing Julian over will let Marco go free and reward players with more supplies, but will cause Julian to pay for a crime that was technically an accident.

How Do You Find Hans in Dying Light 2?

After dealing with Marco, you'll have to complete the rest of the quest by finding Hans, a man who is presumed to have some of the contaminated water Marco accidentally created. You'll travel to the first location and meet Hans's wife, Anna. Anna will reveal that Hans went out with Aiden to hunt and has the contaminated water with him, forcing you to travel to another area and find Hans perched atop a structure resembling a lookout tower. You can save Hans from a grim fate by giving him alcohol (taken from his wife). After finding Hans, you'll return to the Bazaar and will have completed the Cheers side quest.
