If you love mystery and detective games, we've got some great news for you! We're bringing you Panic Room, a game full of mystery where you can find lost objects. Even though the game is a bit older (its graphics confirm that), it has a nostalgic feel. In fact, you could compare it to Facebook's once-popular game Criminal Case. Like that game, you're trying to solve a secret, almost playing detective. Of course, I'm also hoping for tips and tricks from those who have played the game before :) Here it is, the Panic Room game review!

What's the Story of The Panic Room?

Panic Room follows the story of a genius who calls himself the Puppeteer, harboring hatred for humanity inside an old house full of secrets (it has quite a dark atmosphere). The only way to learn the sinister motives driving him to kidnap people and force them to fight for their freedom is through hidden-object hunting and puzzle-solving!

So, The Panic Room is a "hidden object" game with a gripping story and a unique atmosphere. Its story is so deep that you don't just play the game — you wander through each character's story. To solve the mystery of the house, you need to find hidden lost objects and put the pieces of the puzzle together. The residents of the house are divided into two factions: the Followers and the Underground. Whichever faction you decide to join during the game, the story develops accordingly. The game's stories are far from over, and the adventure continues at length.

Panic Room Game Review! How Do You Play?

First of all, I have to say I liked this game's incredibly magical, dark atmosphere. As I've mentioned often, I found the game very similar to the old Facebook game Criminal Case. I had the chance to try Criminal Case when it first came out, and I liked it a lot too. In Criminal Case, a detective/police-themed game where you try to find the killer, you also try to find certain objects hidden within the game. Although the story is a bit different in this game, getting the chance to play something like this again made me really happy. At some point, people just want to grab a magnifying glass and find every single object :)

The game starts off quite simple, with the Puppeteer guiding you. It gives you a laser-like feature to easily spot objects. As you find lost objects, the story progresses and the pages of the diary slowly open up. However, further in, puzzles appear that you need to piece together. Finding the hidden objects in the game gets pretty tough, because some of them start appearing in the dark. That's exactly where the fun kicks in! You can buy new items to help you in the dark, and improve your health by inviting your friends to the game. You can also earn rewards from the objects inside the game. But you need to pay full attention throughout the game! I'm looking forward to your tips and strategy suggestions...

Is Panic Room Worth Downloading?

If you ask my opinion, I think the game is worth downloading. With its dark atmosphere and heavily nostalgic feel, it's a game that will win you over. It also has an endless hidden-object mechanic. That said, I think alongside the game's strengths, it also has some weaknesses. If you're not playing with friends, you miss out on a lot of rewards, and your health drops very quickly. To fix that, you either need help from friends or have to spend money. The in-game purchases make the game noticeably harder.
