PUBG 17.1 Patch Notes: Sanhok Returns, New ACE32

PUBG announced its newest patch, 17.1, yesterday. The PUBG 17.1 update patch notes include the return of the Sanhok map and changes made to it, the new weapon ACE32, the Season 17 ranked season, mode changes, and a number of bug fixes. The most notable change at first glance, though, is the return of the Sanhok map. Sanhok is back in the game with major graphical changes. What's in the PUBG 17.1 Update Patch Notes? When Is the 17.2 Update Coming?

PUBG 17.1 Update Patch Notes

The update will arrive for PC on April 13, 2022, and will land on console starting April 20.

Sanhok Update

The update mainly focuses on graphical changes to key landmarks in the game:

• The abandoned training facility, one of Sanhok's popular hot drops, is back with its iconic lobster-shaped building.
• The bold rooms are back on the roof.
• Instead of the tourist resort, the cargo-rich docks are back in the spotlight.
• The reworks to the flooded limestone quarry have also been reverted.
• The unnamed house set has regained its original identity.
• Mongnai (formerly Airfield) will return along with the original Cave, Mountain, River, Pai Nan, Khao, Sahmee and Kampong.
• Certain textures, such as building walls and foliage, have been applied to the current Sanhok map.
• The Jammer Pack, decoy grenade and loot truck will be removed from the map.
• Weapons such as the M79, 40mm Smoke Grenade Launcher, Mk12, Panzerfaust and C4 will remain on the original map.

New Weapon: ACE32

• The ACE32 will spawn on every map.
• Weapon slot: Primary weapon
• Available modes
  • Normal Matches, Ranked Matches, Custom Matches, Sandbox Mode (PC), Training Mode
    • Not available in Custom Match – Esports Mode.

• The Parachute Skin is a permanent reward.

Mode Changes

Training Mode

• The ACE32 has been added to the Training Assistant.
• The following items have been removed from the Training Assistant after we received numerous reports of them being abused to interfere with other players' activities in the training area.

Arcade Mode

• Added an ACE32 Spawn Kit to Team Deathmatch.
  • Items: ACE32, Red Dot Sight, Compensator (AR, DMR, S12K), Extended Mag (AR, DMR, S12K), Vertical Foregrip, Cheek Pad, Backpack (Lv.3), Helmet (Lv.1), Vest (Lv.1), Pan, Frag Grenade, Deagle, Holographic Sight, .45 ACP x30, 7.62mm Ammo x150, 2x Scope, 3x Scope, 4x Scope, 6x Scope, Half Grip, Angled Foregrip, Thumb Grip, Light Grip, Flash Hider (AR, DMR, S12K), Suppressor (AR, DMR, S12K)
• Spawn Kit improvements
  • The VSS Kit now includes 60 extra 9mm rounds and a Canted Sight.
  • Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) Kits now include 30 extra rounds of each ammo type.
  • Attachable Submachine Gun (SMG) Kits now include a 4x Scope
• The current Sanhok map has been removed from Team Deathmatch.
• With the current Sanhok removed, the map matchmaking ratio for Team Deathmatch has been adjusted as follows:
  • Erangel 25 / Miramar 15 / Sanhok 0 / Vikendi 20 / Taego 40

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where the Deploy Parachute prompt wouldn't appear/work at high altitude.
• Fixed an issue in the Aim Lab in Training Mode where aiming accuracy could exceed 100% when firing at 0 seconds.
• Fixed an issue where buried vehicles would occasionally appear.
• Fixed an issue where bots couldn't recognize Drones and/or couldn't pass through them.
• Fixed a missing emote animation for characters at a certain point in the Death Cam.
• Fixed an issue where teammates couldn't join a Team Emote after winning a match.
• Fixed an issue in Training Mode where you couldn't see another player on the enclosed shooting range.
• Fixed an issue where players would die instantly at 0 HP at a certain location instead of entering DBNO.
• (PC) Fixed an issue on the Foggy Training Mode map.
• (PC) Fixed an issue where a player's grenade throw animation displayed differently from another player's perspective.
• (PC) Fixed a missing sound effect the first time the Tommy Gun was used.
• (Console) Fixed an issue where primary weapons stored in the Tactical Pack could be duplicated.
