Samsung Odyssey Ark: Its Biggest Curved Monitor Yet

Samsung had already hinted, with surprise posts before the CES 2022 tech expo began, that this year would be a productive one for televisions and monitors. At an event held today, the company unveiled the Odyssey Ark, the largest curved monitor it has ever made. What's more, this device turns into a completely different product when in the pivot position.

The Largest Curved Monitor: Odyssey Ark

Unlike its 49-inch predecessor, the 55-inch model unveiled today can rotate into the pivot position. That means you can turn the screen sideways and use it upright. This lets users who don't want a long horizontal panel use this monitor — which can fit nearly 3 screens' worth of space — in the upright position. The Odyssey Ark draws users in as a highly flexible monitor for people who do everything from editing to gaming at home. With its curved 55-inch, 16:9 aspect ratio screen, it easily takes the lead in the industry. The device features 3840×2160, HDR-supported 165Hz Quantum Mini LED technology, and can reach up to 2000 cd/m² brightness. The curve ratio is stated to be 1000R. The monitor also has a dual speaker system powered by a built-in 60-watt amplifier. In addition to its ergonomic design, its height-adjustable stand, along with swivel and tilt functions, gives every user a wide range for finding optimal comfort. This new vertical, cockpit-style rotating screen also brings a new gaming experience, multitasking, and window setup with it.

Odyssey Ark Release Date and Price

Samsung introduced the new Odyssey Ark as a real product it plans to bring to the United States in the second half of the year. However, it did not share any information about the product's release date or price.
