What Is a Sorare Auction?

A Sorare auction is how a player's cards first go on sale: for a player's cards to be bought and sold in Sorare, the player must first be put up for auction and sold to the user who bids the most money. A player who has never gone to auction means that no card has been issued for him yet, at least for that season. To join an auction, after logging in you need to press the spot I marked in the image.

Which Cards Can I Bid On in an Auction?

You can bid on any card as long as you have enough balance and the auction has not expired. Per player, each season, 1,000 yellow cards (Limited), 100 red cards (Rare), 10 blue cards (Super Rare) and only 1 brown card (Unique) are issued.

Is There Always an Auction?

You can always see and join auctions for different players. If there is a particular player you want, you will have to wait for that player's cards for that season to go to auction. If you want to browse the options rather than a single player, you can choose the player type you want and filter in the category section on the left.

How Can I Follow the Player I Want?

If you want to know about a player's auction, after you start following that player in Sorare, you can create a notification for the specific card type you will buy or for every card. When the player goes to auction, a notification will arrive at your registered email address.

When Does an Auction End for a Player?

If a player has reached his last card in the auction and no more will be minted for that season, there will be no more auctions for that player

How Does an Auction Start?

An auction is a system in which a player goes up for auction within a certain time period and, when the time ends, the highest bidder owns the card. You may come across auctions that last 3 days for some cards and 2 days for others. You can follow the auction time from the timeline under the player's card.

From the box I marked on the left, you can categorize auctions that are about to end, by price, or newly listed.

How Can I Understand the Bids Given in an Auction?

In Sorare's auction, just as you see the time, you can also see the highest amount offered. In the part I showed with boxes and arrows, you can see the number of bids made so far, the highest bid and the time left until the auction ends. If you want to raise the price, you can bid if you have enough ETH in your Sorare wallet, or pay instantly by credit card.

What Does an Auction Have to Do With the Referral Code?

If you joined the game with a referral code and bought 5 players from the auction, the game gives you +1 player as a gift.
