Valheim Legends Mod: 6 New Classes and Their Abilities

What Is the Valheim Legends Mod?

Valheim Legends is a mod that adds 6 new classes to Valheim's co-op play, so you no longer have to be just a Viking. Familiar to anyone who likes MMORPGs, the new classes are already set to give the game a different flavor.

Each of the new classes coming to Valheim has 3 special abilities. For example, a Ranger can move faster than the other classes and make ranged attacks, and can also summon a wolf to their side for a short time. Mages, as most of us would guess, are offered to players as a class with a range of spells: shooting fireballs, summoning an ice shield that freezes and damages enemies in melee range, and calling meteor strikes on a targeted area. Berserkers, who deal high damage and are somewhat tanky, and Valkyries, who have similar mechanics, are the game's two physical-damage classes, while Druids and Shamans, with abilities that provide various healing to themselves and their teammates and weaken enemies, round out the classes we will see in Valheim Legends.

Valheim Legends Mod Classes and Abilities

Valkyrie

• Bulwark - Buff: Adds a set block bonus to all blocked attacks and adds damage reduction to the caster.
• Stagger - Attack: Instantly staggers all enemies around the Valkyrie.
• Leap - Attack: Launches you into the air and slams down, dealing splash damage at the point of impact.

Ranger

• Shadow Stalk - Buff: Greatly reduces the Ranger's noise and visibility, increases movement speed while crouched, and grants a short (5s) speed boost.
• Summon Wolf - Pet: Summons a wolf companion for a limited time; it is sturdier, but deals less damage than normal wolf pets.
• Power Shot - Boost: The next few ranged attacks gain speed and attack power.

Berserker

• Rage - Boost: Regularly sacrifices health to gain increased movement speed, physical attack damage, constant stamina regeneration and life steal on a portion of damage dealt.
• Execute - Boost: The next few melee attacks gain more attack power.
• Dash - Attack: Dashes forward and strikes enemies along the way. The damage amount also differs depending on the equipped weapon.

Mage

• Fireball - Attack: Launches a burning fireball that deals splash damage.
• Frost Nova - Attack: Creates an ice burst that damages and freezes enemies around the area.
• Meteor - Channeled Attack: Use this ability to target an area and pull meteors down; the channel time (stamina spent) determines how many meteors are created.

Druid

• Regeneration - Heal: Causes the user and all nearby players to rapidly regenerate health for a short time.
• Root Defender - Summon: Creates friendly roots around the caster that will strike surrounding enemies.
• Vines - Channeled Attack: Periodically fires piercing vine projectiles.

Shaman

• Enrage - Boost: Increases movement speed while rapidly restoring stamina for itself and all nearby allies.
• Shell - Boost: Reduces any elemental damage taken (poison, fire, frost, etc.) and makes any attack made by its allies stronger.
• Spirit Shock - Attack: Deals spirit damage in an area around the user and deals magic damage to any enemy hit.

On top of all this, 5 new skills that develop these new character classes have been added, so as you summon friendly creatures (like the Ranger's wolf) you gain more power and can keep annoying your opponents for a long time. After installing Valheim Legends, the materials you need to be able to choose your character class are:

• For Valkyrie: Flint
• For Ranger: Raw Meat
• For Berserker: Bone Fragments
• For Mage: Coal
• For Druid: Dandelion
• For Shaman: Greydwarf Eye

Valheim's Legends mod and the changes it brings look like a good reason to start playing Valheim, especially if you have teammates playing the other classes. One more thing worth mentioning: as with many Valheim mods, to use Valheim Legends you need to install and run the BepInExPack mod.
