VALORANT Initiators: Every Initiator Agent Explained

Riot Games' FPS VALORANT, released in April 2020, was loved by players and continues to be loved. Some players wonder what roles certain characters have and which agent type they belong to. To satisfy that curiosity, we are introducing the agents in the Initiator group, one of the agent groups.

Initiators are an agent group in VALORANT, and the game defines them like this: "Initiators create opportunities for their team to get past corners that are dangerous to advance through."

Which Characters Are Initiators in VALORANT? (2022)

BREACH

Although he was not very popular early in the game, before being nerfed Breach had started to become a favorite of players with his 3 flash charges. After Riot Games' update reduced the 3 flash charges to 2 flash charges, playing the character has become a little less appealing. His E ability creates an earthquake effect that briefly shakes up players. This agent's ultimate creates an earthquake that shakes our opponents over a wide area.

KAY/O

This agent, who is not from any country, is entirely a robot, and his abilities involve detaching parts of his body. Like some agents, he has a flash ability. With his Q ability we can flash both our opponents and our teammates. With his E ability we create an area where we can suppress our opponents' abilities, meaning we do not let our opponents use their abilities. His ultimate is similar to this: opponents caught in the waves that pulse out around us every 4 seconds cannot use their abilities. While his ultimate is active, he gains momentum by overloading, just like Reyna.

SKYE

This agent, who joined us from Australia, was not played much when she first came out, but she returned to the game because some esports players played her a lot. With her E ability we can throw a bird and blind our opponent. With her Q ability, she can release her wolf, a helper companion, to gain some information about the game. Her C ability can heal her teammates, except herself. With her ultimate, we can detect our opponents' locations by directing 3 flower-like pieces we call leeches.

SOVA

This agent, who joined us from Russia, lets his team advance by throwing arrow drones and shock arrows into dangerous positions before entering. His E ability is a recon arrow. His Q ability is two shock arrows. Early in the round, Sova can direct his E ability toward the enemy side using certain methods to find them. With his C ability, we can throw a drone in advance to gain information about our opponent's play. His ultimate damages opposing players by sending out a shock wave in a round shape.
