Copa City: Release Date and Game Modes

Announced at the PC Gaming Show 2024, Copa City is a candidate to be the first football tycoon game, and it's set to win over football fans very soon. While it falls a bit short of the EA FC and FIFA gaming experience, we think it'll be a good pick for football enthusiasts. When will Copa City release? What game modes will it have? Copa City Release Date: When Does It Launch?

Copa City will be a high-stakes tycoon football game in which players take on the role of a football match organizer and oversee fixture preparations worldwide. It will also be the first game of its kind. Developer Triple Espresso says the following about the game:

"Turn urban areas into fan zones, manage media outlets and showcase sponsors, all while making sure everyone gets to the match on time. You'll have full decision-making power to influence events before, during and after the match."

Copa City is planned for release in 2025 and will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. You can also add Copa City to your wishlist right now.

What Game Modes Are There?

The game has three different game modes to choose from. They are:

• Campaign Mode: In Campaign Mode, your job is to organize matches of varying importance by accepting orders to coordinate these events. Your goal is to successfully manage the organizational process to gain access to more challenging gameplay loops. This mode is designed for players who are new to tycoon games but have a strong interest in football.
• Challenge Mode: In Challenge Mode, you'll pick a scenario that lets you experience the whole game in under an hour. This mode is ideal for players who don't have time for the full game but still want the satisfaction of completing a stage with a specific problem to solve. It's specifically designed for players who are familiar with tycoon games and used to this genre.
• Single Match: Single Match mode lets you pick any host city, opposing team and economic setting to play a single full gameplay loop. You can also showcase your final economic result on the leaderboard. This mode is designed for experienced tycoon game players.

Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Flamengo will all feature in the game as licensed clubs, each with its own colors, chants, traits and fan behavior to create an authentic match-day atmosphere.

It's also been confirmed that Poland's PGE Narodowy stadium in Warsaw is playable, with two more stadiums also set to feature in Copa City.
