Fortnite 30.10 Update Patch Notes: Metallica Arrives in Fortnite!

The official collaboration between Fortnite and Metallica has arrived, bringing content to game modes like Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing.

The collaboration starts on June 13 and ends on different dates in each game mode. The dates and events are as follows:

• Battle Royale: June 13 - July 2, 2024
• Fortnite Festival: June 13 - August 16, 2024
• LEGO Fortnite: Outfits in the Item Shop from June 13 to August 16, 2024
• Rocket Racing: June 13 - August 16, 2024
• Metallica UEFN concert: June 22-23, 2024
• Metallica Cup tournament: June 18, 2024

The Metallica collaboration also brings a new mythic item called the Ride the Lightning Guitar , which will go on sale in Battle Royale as soon as the update goes live. You can get this item from Loot Chests or floor loot.

Fortnite 30.10 Update Patch Notes: New Weapon and Loot Island Added

The Tow Hook Ball has been added as a brand-new weapon in Chapter 5 Season 3 with the 30.10 update. The weapon lets you use its massive hook to hit targets and even attach yourself to moving vehicles to glide behind them.

In the middle of every match, the floating Metallica Loot Island will drop from the sky!

The update also brings a brand-new Fortnite Festival with Metallica as the featured artist, along with a new Festival Pass featuring Kirk, James, Robert, and Lars's cosmetic outfits, as well as other items like Jam Tracks, Auras, Emotes, and Instruments.

New Metallica Outfits

In addition to the outfits included with the Festival Season 4 pass, four more Metallica outfits will arrive in the Item Shop on June 13 and stay there until the end of Festival Season 4. These include the following outfits:

• Puppet Master James
• Puppet Master Lars
• Puppet Master Kirk
• Puppet Master Robert

New Tournament: Fortnite X Metallica Cup

The Squads Fill Battle Royale Metallica Cup will take place on June 18, letting players earn the early-warning Bell Emote before it arrives in the Item Shop.

Competitors can play up to ten matches within their region's three-hour window, and each region's specific event schedule can be found in the in-game "Competitive" tab. Among other requirements, competitors must enable and verify Two-Factor Authentication on their Epic accounts and be Account Level 15 or above.

New Rocket Racing Thrash Mountain Track Has Arrived!

Fortnite's racing mode Rocket Racing also gets a taste of the Metallica collaboration with a brand-new track called Thrash Mountain. It has instrumental monuments, a keyboard-like winding path, and Metallica's "Fuel" playing in the background.

Leaks also suggest that Fortnite will unlock super styles for the Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Pass for players with the v30.10 update.

Finally, LEGO Fortnite has released two new game modes in Fortnite called Relaxed and Expert modes.
