What Is Discord Streamer Mode?

When you stream your game on Discord, you're not just sharing the game, you're also sharing private messages and open windows with your viewers. To help streamers with large followings in particular protect their data, Discord decided to create Streamer Mode. Streamer Mode is a security feature that, once enabled, changes what your viewers can see. This feature blocks the display of private messages or notifications that could be misused by some viewers. In other words, it hides personal information, letting streamers use Discord fully during a stream and even letting you join a Discord server without giving away any personal information.

How Do You Turn On Discord Streamer Mode?

Before enabling Discord's Streamer Mode, you first need to integrate your streaming software with Discord. To do this, follow the steps below.

• Open Discord and click the User Settings menu (the gear icon), usually found below the window under the channels.
• After clicking, select the Connections tab from the options on the left.
• Then go into Server Settings.
