What was announced on Fallout Day 2026?

Fallout Day falls on October 23, the date the bombs drop in the series' lore. This year Bethesda skipped a live broadcast and spread its news across a week of posts. It then collected everything in one roundup on October 23.

The news falls into three main groups: a new TV show, a major Fallout 76 update and fresh content for Fallout 4. There were also toys, posters and collectibles.

What is Fallout Shelter: The Experiment?

It is not a drama but a reality competition. According to Amazon MGM Studios' press release, contestants enter Vault-Tec shelters and face high-intensity drills, psychological dilemmas and moral tests. The last dweller standing wins $1,000,000.

Studio Lambert is producing the show. The company is behind Squid Game: The Challenge and The Traitors. Kilter Films, run by Fallout series producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, is also involved, and Todd Howard is among the executive producers for Bethesda Game Studios.

The season has ten episodes. The first four arrive on January 13, 2027, followed by three a week until January 27. It will stream only on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories. For more on how game brands are moving to TV, see our story on the collapsed Xbox Netflix deal.

When does Fallout 76 World Pets arrive?

Until now, Fallout 76 pets stayed at your C.A.M.P. The World Pets update changes that. Cats, dogs, Radhogs and even tamed Deathclaws will be able to join you on adventures across Appalachia.

Bethesda lists the update for December. It also brings a refreshed Skyline Valley. Polygon reports better lighting, terrain and weather in the region, plus new bounty hunting jobs. Bethesda also said Fallout 76 has now passed 25 million players.
