Why do the Korean derbies matter so much?

Gen.G and HLE are the LCK's first and second seeds. Fans would normally expect them to meet much later in the event, but the draw put them together in Round 2. The same goes for T1 and DK. Two Korean teams are guaranteed to drop to 1-1 tonight.
