Will FC 24 (FIFA 24) Have a World Cup Mode?

There isn't much time left before FIFA 24, now renamed EA Sports FC 24, releases, and especially with a new era beginning this year, there's a lot of curiosity and plenty of expectations.

NOTE: Until readers get used to the name FC 24, we'll still be using FIFA 24 wherever we refer to the game.

Will FC 24 (FIFA 24) Have a World Cup Mode?

I expect this year's new entry in the series to bring a lot of changes compared to previous years. Given that the Career Mode feature hasn't received much investment in FIFA titles, and most of the investment has instead gone into Ultimate Team mode, I think we'll see a lot of different details, especially around Online Career Mode.

Ultimate Team will always remain the flagship and EA's biggest pillar. That's because the success and competitiveness achieved there has never been replicated in any other online football game mode. In particular, the coins and FIFA Points used in-game are heavily spent on pack openings and FUT Draft, which significantly increases how much money players pour into Ultimate Team Mode.

Speaking of new features, one we experienced at the end of last year was the World Cup event. Held since 1930, the tournament coincided with the Northern Hemisphere winter for the first time, with the first matches played on November 20, 2022. As a result, EA made a change and added a World Cup Mode to the game for the first time in winter, which players loved.

Why Was the World Cup Mode So Popular in FIFA 23?

With the World Cup taking place close to the game's launch date, players who didn't yet have many coins or FIFA Points got the chance to play alongside the free players that came with World Cup Mode. This let them field players throughout the World Cup that they never would have imagined putting in their squad back in November. Naturally, after such a nice bonus, one of the first questions on people's minds is whether World Cup Mode will also be adapted for FC 24 (FIFA 24).

Will FC 24 (FIFA 24) Have a World Cup Mode?

Since World Cups are held only once every 4 years, it's one of the game modes we rarely get to see, and one we always enjoy when we do. Getting new cards and competing with them is especially the sweetest part for Ultimate Team players. Given that this isn't a World Cup year and that the mode needs to stay in sync with the real-world tournament, FC 24 (FIFA 24) definitely will not have a World Cup Mode.

When Will FC 24/FIFA 24 Release?

Whether a game called FIFA 24 is even in development at this point is a big question mark, and anyone claiming to know for sure would be lying.

We are, however, confident that EA's EA Sports FC 24 will release, and we expect a full announcement along with the release date in July.
