If you prefer alternate controls, your shoot button will be SQUARE. You can go into your control settings to change which control scheme you're using. You don't have to stick with just classic and alternate, either — you can customize your own settings from there too.

How Do You Hit a Finesse Shot in FIFA 22?

Hitting a finesse shot in FIFA 22 is just as simple. If you press the R1 button together with your shoot button (O, SQUARE, or whatever it is for you), you'll pull off this shot. R1 is used for both classic and alternate control schemes. You just need to combine this button with your shoot button. So we can sum it up as R1 + Square/Circle.

How Do You Do a Shot Fake in FIFA 22?

You need to learn the shot fake, one of the oldest and most effective tricks in FIFA history. It's a fantastic move that comes in handy whether you're clearing the ball out of defense, in one-on-one situations, or facing the keeper alone, and you have two options for pulling it off. Honestly, the "real" shot fake is done with "your shoot button (Circle for Classic) + X," but since a lot of people find it awkward to press Circle given how they hold the controller, everyone ends up using Square instead :) So classic and alternate players are united when it comes to doing a FIFA 22 shot fake.

You can set your intended direction with the left stick and press SQUARE + X at the same time to pull off a shot fake.
