Solo Leveling

The hugely popular webtoon Solo Leveling is getting an anime adaptation set to release in 2023. The series follows Jinwoo, a weak hunter trying to protect humanity from a monster outbreak threatening the world. He's a hero chosen by a mysterious power whose whole life changes with the great strength given to him. A-1 Pictures, the studio behind Erased and Sword Art Online, is handling this adaptation. Sadly, the original illustrator, DUBU, passed away shortly after the anime was announced earlier this year. With a top-tier team behind it, we can expect the anime to be of a quality that fans of the original series will appreciate.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2

Jujutsu Kaisen made a huge entrance into the anime world in 2020, with Studio MAPPA giving it dazzling visuals as a dark shounen action series. The world of Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK) is built around supernatural beings called Cursed Energy and Curses. Jujutsu Sorcerers use Cursed Energy to fight the Curses that want to harm humanity. Our protagonist, Yuta Itadori, is a good-hearted person whose body is accidentally possessed by one of the strongest and most dangerous Curses, making him an unwilling Jujutsu Sorcerer. JJK Season 2 will reportedly follow the manga's "Hidden Inventory/Premature Death" and "Shibuya Incident" arcs. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will air in 2023, though the exact date isn't confirmed yet.

Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 3

It seems like almost nothing in today's entertainment industry can escape becoming a trilogy, and Attack on Titan's final season is no exception. The third part of the final season will air sometime in 2023. Eren Yeager's dramatic character shift, from a revenge-driven hero to a genocidal maniac, comes to a close. We last left off with Armin, Mikasa, and other heroes we don't see as often having to make the choice to take Eren down. They have to make that choice, or the whole world goes down with Eren. The series first premiered in 2013, and we're very excited to see this 10-year journey reach its conclusion.

Vinland Saga Season 2

Just as it did with Attack on Titan, Studio MAPPA has handed the torch for this epic Viking anime's continuation to Studio WIT. Season 2 continues the story of Thorfinn, a boy utterly ruined and consumed by a thirst for revenge, as he transforms into a lost, searching teenager. While details are still scarce for now, the first two trailers for Vinland Saga Season 2 highlighted important new names who will play a role in the challenges Thorfinn faces and confronts. With signs of legendary Vinland appearing on the horizon, we're eager to see how far Thorfinn's journey can go. You can mark January 9, 2023, on your calendars for Vinland Saga Season 2, which will run for 24 episodes in total.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2

Studio Bind is bringing back the popular anime Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation for a second season. The story follows a 34-year-old Japanese man who's reincarnated and born into a different world as Rueus Greyrat. In the second season, Rudeu is now a teenager who has started at the Ranoa Magic Academy. It's time for him to come to terms with his losses and view life through the knowledge he's gained in his new world. Viewers can expect to see familiar faces, but they should also be ready for major shifts in the story.

The huge success of Jobless Reincarnation's anime came from its different approach to the isekai genre. Manabu Okamoto, known for his work on Darling in the Franxx, Akame ga Kill!, and Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, is back in the director's chair for Season 2. There's no official release date yet, but it's known that Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 will arrive in 2023.

Nier: Automata Ver1.1a

NieR: Automata, a fan favorite among 2017's action role-playing games, is finally getting its anime adaptation. A-1 Pictures, the award-winning studio behind Sword Art Online and 86, will tell the story of a future where android replicas of humans fight against mechanized aliens.

While there isn't a lot of information about the adaptation yet, Yui Ishikawa, known for voicing Mikasa Ackerman in Attack on Titan, has joined the cast and will voice the android 2B. Natsuki Hanae, who voices Tanjiro in Demon Slayer, plays the android 9S, while Hiroki Yasumoto, the voice of Yasutora Sado in Bleach, plays Pod 042. NieR: Automata VER 1.1A will premiere in January 2023.
