The first part arrives on October 27. The free update adds new login bonus rewards and special costumes. It also updates the Gallery of Time, although the new content there is unlocked by owning the FUTURE SAGA Chapter 4 DLC.

IGN notes the game first launched on October 25, 2016, so the anniversary is a full decade. The updates are coming to every platform the game is on.

What is the Final Festival of Universes?

Bandai Namco bills it as a global celebration starting on October 30. You pick Trunks, the Supreme Kai of Time or Fu, then raise your camaraderie level with that character to unlock special illustrations.

Hard-to-find items are returning, and you will earn 25 times the usual Star Coins during the event. That makes reward exchanges easier than ever. Taking part can also earn you a new Gi made for the occasion and a commemorative medal.

Which Xenoverse 3 rewards can you unlock?

The most interesting part is the link to Xenoverse 3. According to Bandai Namco, items earned in the festival will unlock special rewards in the new game, as long as you link your save to a Bandai Namco ID.

• Unlock the Final Festival Uniform (Gold): get the Martial Arts Festival Outfit (Rare Color Gold) in Xenoverse 3
• Earn enough Glory Points for the Rainbow uniform: get the Rainbow version of the same outfit
• Final Festival medals: unlock up to 21 acrylic figures in Xenoverse 3
• Example: the Trunks medal unlocks a Trunks acrylic figure

How do you link Xenoverse 2 to a Bandai Namco ID?

Create a free Bandai Namco ID first. Then launch Xenoverse 2 and press Upload Link Data on the main menu. A QR code appears on screen. Scan it with your phone and log in to your Bandai Namco ID.

On the Confirm Link page, choose the right platform and press Link, then sign in to that platform account. Finally, go back to the title screen and select Upload Link Data again. Bandai Namco says there is no deadline, and your Xenoverse 2 platform does not need to match the one you play Xenoverse 3 on.

When is Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 coming out?
