• You can walk around in No Man's Sky, but walking can become quite a chore when you need to go look for something. There's a small trick that will help you move faster in the game. If you press R1, you perform a melee attack. If you follow that up with a jetpack boost using the X button, you can fly forward extremely fast.
• The menus in No Man's Sky can generally be a bit confusing, since there are a lot of menus in the game. However, there's a menu that will take you to your missions quickly. You can bring up this menu by pressing down on the D-pad.
• The game could initially only be played in first-person, but was later expanded to include a third-person perspective as well. You can also switch this by bringing up the same quick menu.
• When you press the touchpad to open your inventory, you'll see a number of new tabs and categories. There are three tabs: General, Technology, and Cargo. General is the first place everything you pick up goes, and it's the inventory tab you'll use most. Technology is a tab that has far fewer slots by default and serves a more specific function; you can only load technology into its slots. And finally, Cargo is known as the exact opposite of the Technology tab. You can use it to store technology modules here. It starts with two slots, which you can expand with upgrades.
