What Are VALORANT Breach's Abilities?

Breach's abilities can give you and your team an advantage in almost any situation. With such a high-grade utility belt, it is no surprise that he sits at the top of competitive play in almost every series. Let's take a look at Breach's abilities:

C Ability — Aftershock (200 Credits): This ability passes through a wall or a surface and deals damage in 3 pulses to enemies behind that wall or surface. Each hit takes away 50 health. This lets you deal damage 3 times and kill opponents in positions they cannot escape from. Q Ability — Flashpoint (250 Credits): This is a classic flash ability. Unlike other agents who can throw flashes, this flash, just like the C ability, can pass through walls. You cannot throw the flash directly. You have to send it through a surface or wall. E Ability — Fault Line (Free; 40 sec cooldown): With this ability, whose range you can increase by holding the E key, Breach sends a fault line that can shake opponents for 3.5 seconds. Opponents caught in this line are stunned for 3.5 seconds and cannot shoot properly or run. This ability is free and becomes usable again 40 seconds after it is used. X (Ultimate) Ability — Rolling Thunder (7 Points): With properties just like the Fault Line, this ability covers a much larger area than the Fault Line. It can cover an entire site area and applies a 6-second stun to every opponent it catches.

Breach's first two abilities carry the agent's name. Both Aftershock and Flashpoint are designed to let you and your team break through enemy lines while the enemies are weakened or blinded, giving you an advantage in combat. Flashpoint comes with two charges, while Aftershock comes with one charge. So you will need to use them wisely during a round.

What makes both of them especially useful is that they can penetrate walls. As long as you know when and where to use them (ideally together with Cypher's Spycam or Sova's Owl Drone), they are an invaluable tool for playing when entering a Reactor Site.

How Should You Play Breach in VALORANT?

VALORANT Breach using an ability against enemies behind a wall

Breach gives you all the utility you might need to enter a site or retake one. While the rest of the team clears the area, he can stay back and throw flashes and stuns to push enemies out of corners.

That does not mean he is not self-sufficient on entry. With enough practice, you can flash, stun and blast corners on your own without breaking a sweat. Throwing them high can catch more enemies. Throwing them at the ground can work too, but it will not catch as many people. Once you learn how to flash multiple positions with angles, by putting them right in the corner, you can enter sites easily.

If you play in coordination with your team, Breach can be a very functional agent for you. If you throw your Aftershock at places where your opponent might be hiding, your opponents will be forced to run, and you will beat them by chasing the exit.

That is the end of today's VALORANT agent guide. See you in the next guides.
