First, you need to make sure you are using the latest version of WhatsApp; if it is not up to date, you should update it from the app store. To send a voice message and adjust the settings:

• Open a WhatsApp contact or group chat and press and hold the Microphone icon.
• Then swipe up toward the lock icon above to start hands-free recording mode.
• Start talking and tap the red "Record" button to stop recording.
• To preview it, tap the Play icon, and if everything is fine, press the "Send" button.
• To record again, you can delete the previous recording by tapping the trash can. To start a new recording, you just need to repeat the previous steps.
