Wild Rift Kassadin: Abilities and Release Date

Kassadin was announced as one of the first new champions coming as part of the Wild Rift patch 3.3 cycle. The Void Walker is a hyper-scaling mid lane mage we also know from League of Legends. So how does he translate to mobile? What are Wild Rift's new champion Kassadin's abilities? When will he arrive?

Who Is Wild Rift Kassadin?

Kassadin was a well-traveled Shuriman guide and adventurer. His travels led him to meet the love of his life in a desert tribe. Kassadin and his wife started a family. But their happiness was short-lived. Kassadin lost his child and his wife, killed by the darkness known as the Void. After mourning, he devoted his shattered humanity to a life of vengeance, seeking out whatever source of power he could find to make it happen. Many thought he'd gone mad, but Kassadin remained true to his purpose. He would fight against evil.

What Are Wild Rift Kassadin's Abilities?

For those who know him from League of Legends, Kassadin's playstyle and abilities won't come as a surprise. We expect his abilities to stay the same in the mobile game as well.

• Void Stone (Passive): Kassadin ignores unit collision and reduces magic damage taken.
• Null Sphere (First Ability): Throws a sphere that deals damage and interrupts channels. It also grants a temporary shield that absorbs magic damage.
• Nether Blade (Second Ability)
  • Passive: Basic attacks deal bonus magic damage
  • Active: Your next basic attack deals a significant amount of bonus magic damage and restores mana.
• Force Pulse (Third Ability): Throws a cone in front of him, dealing damage in the area and slowing enemies.
• Riftwalk (Ultimate Skill): Teleports to a nearby location and deals damage to nearby enemies. Casting multiple Riftwalks in a row costs additional mana but deals additional damage.

When Will Wild Rift Kassadin Arrive?

Wild Rift's new champion is expected to be added to the game very soon, on Friday, July 29. Every champion release is usually accompanied by a champion event, where players can unlock the champion for free by completing missions. Like every other champion in Wild Rift, Kassadin is expected to cost 5,500 Blue Motes or 725 Wild Cores.
