Clash of Clans TH18 Guide: Town Hall 18 Explained

Here is the short version of this Clash of Clans TH18 guide. Town Hall 18 arrived on November 17, 2025. It unlocks the Guardians, Revenge Tower and Super Wizard Tower. Meteor Golem and the Totem Spell, which came in the same update, unlock at lower levels.

This guide collects what Town Hall 18 added, using only Supercell's official update notes. We also flag the changes that came in later months. The notes do not list upgrade costs or times, so we leave them out. Base layout links are not part of this article either.

Clash of Clans TH18 guide: what unlocks?

Town Hall 18 is made of meteorite. When you upgrade, a short cinematic shows the meteor hitting your village. It only plays once, and if you close the game during the upgrade you cannot replay it. Afterwards you tap the meteorite away to reveal the new Town Hall.

How do Guardians work?

Guardians are the unique defense of Town Hall 18. They protect your village like Heroes but cannot be used in attacks. The key rules from the official notes:

• Only one Guardian can defend at a time.
• Upgrades need a free Builder.
• A Guardian cannot be used while upgrading, but it still appears in Ranked, War and Clan War League defenses at its last completed level.
• Tap a Guardian in your village to see its patrol route.
• The Guardian menu opens from a new button when the Town Hall is selected.

What do Revenge Tower and Super Wizard Tower do?

Revenge Tower gets stronger as other buildings fall. When 5, 20 and 40 buildings are destroyed in a defense, its power and hitpoints go up. It is at its most dangerous near the end of an attack.

Super Wizard Tower is made by merging two Wizard Towers. The Wizard on top is promoted to a Super Wizard, and his attacks can chain to up to 15 nearby enemies. For the basics of every defense, see our defensive buildings guide.

How do Meteor Golem and the Totem Spell work?

Meteor Golem first appeared as a temporary troop in the Cosmic Rock Medal Event and became permanent with this update. It throws Meteormites over Walls, and the Meteormites can merge back into a Meteor Golem. It unlocks at Town Hall 17. The October 2026 balance pass gave it more HP, which also raises Meteormite HP.

Totem Spell stuns and damages buildings where it lands. The totems can be targeted by ground and air defenses for a short time, soaking damage so your army can push on. It unlocks at Town Hall 16.

Fancy Shop and Sparky Stones

The Fancy Shop is the second-to-last tab of the Shop. You spend Sparky Stones there. Each Supercharge gives 10 and each Crafted Defense upgrade gives 8. At launch it offered a Meteorite Builder skin, a unique village decoration and Charge Effects for decorations.

What has been added to TH18 since launch?

• Crafting Phase 2: three Crafted Defenses called Light Beam, Hero Bell and Bomb Hive. Supercell planned this phase to last four months, so check in game which phase is live now.
• August 2026: Diggy pet levels 11 to 15 for TH18, plus new Supercharge levels for Builder's Hut and Monolith.
