Dying Light 2 Releases Free Authority Pack DLC

Dying Light 2 Stay Human, the sequel to the original Dying Light, launched a few weeks ago. Even though Dying Light 2 is still new, it has already found an audience among fans of the original game and new players alike. Developer and publisher Techland has announced that Dying Light 2 will get its first DLC piece. As part of the Authority Pack DLC, a new equipment set based on the game's Peacekeeper faction will be released. The Authority Pack DLC will arrive in three parts with three gear sets, and everything in it will be free to download.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human DLC Package: Authority Pack Features

Recently, a trailer was released for Dying Light 2's Authority Pack DLC, introducing the new DLC gear that makes up the first equipment set of the DLC. The first item set in the Authority Pack includes the Intimidating Jacket, Intimidating Cargo Pants, and Intimidating High-Tops sneakers. Players can download and equip all three of these items in Dying Light 2 for free.

With the release of the first item set from the Authority Pack, it's only a matter of time before players can collect the full set. Based on the Authority Pack trailer, the second part of the DLC will include mask-like headgear, arm braces, and gloves. The third part of the DLC will be a large hammer-like weapon players can use in the game, and wearing all of it together will complete the Peacekeepers armor set.

While this free DLC bundle won't change the rules of the game, it's a taste of what players can expect from Dying Light 2 going forward. Back in January, Techland had already announced that Dying Light 2 would receive 5 years of support with new content added to the game. Techland posted on Twitter stating that it would support Dying Light 2 with post-launch content in the form of new items, stories, in-game events, new locations, and other "fun stuff" for players in future updates.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A Switch version is also in development.
