FIFA 22 is going strong as ever, and the Division Rivals mode is as popular as always. Here's everything you need to know about the updated rewards, release times, and how to climb your FUT rank.

Division Rivals, alongside FUT Champions, is unquestionably the most popular mode in FIFA Ultimate Team. Unlike Squad Battles, which pits players against the AI, Division Rivals is all about testing your mettle against other players and their squads online.

Like other competitive game modes, it has a ranking system that assigns players skill points, which can then be increased or decreased depending on performance. There are multiple divisions players can enter, and finishing the week in any of them determines which rewards you receive.

Here's everything we know about how Division Rivals has changed and which days rewards get handed out in ranked FIFA 22 Ultimate Team play.

FIFA 22 Division Rivals Changes Explained

EA Sports has completely overhauled Division Rivals in FIFA 22, introducing a new seasonal progression system and a new "Elite Division" where the best of the best can go head-to-head.

FIFA 22 changed the way players progress through Divisions and earn rewards. Division Rivals moved to a new ladder system where every Division is made up of these three components.

Ranks

Different Ranks reflect your progress within a Division, and as you climb, you unlock better and better Weekly Rewards.

Stages

FIFA 22's Division Rivals initially used sub-stages found within each main Rank. That's no longer the case, though, and players at any stage of a tier can now earn the same rewards until they're promoted to the next tier.

Checkpoints

Finally, Checkpoints prevent progress loss and guarantee players stay at the right skill level.

The result of every match determines how you move up or down the Division ranking:

• Winning a match moves you forward one Stage.
• Losing a match moves you back one Stage, unless you're on a Checkpoint.
• A draw keeps you in your current position.

Winning two matches in a row starts a win streak. While this boost is active, you'll move up an extra Stage for every additional win, which encourages you to keep performing well.

How to Qualify for the FIFA 22 Elite Division in Division Rivals

A brand-new level of competition beyond Division 1, the Elite Division is where the world's best FUT players get to battle it out. Progress within the Elite Division reverts to a Skill Rating system you may remember from FUT 21.

All players in the Elite Division are ranked by this Skill Rating, and the top 200 appear on the Global Leaderboard for everyone to see.

Once you make it into the Elite Division (which we know you will), you'll stay there for the rest of the current Season until relegation begins.

FIFA 22 Division Rivals Rewards Explained

There are two types of Division Rivals rewards in FIFA — weekly and Milestone rewards. Weekly matches require players to win a set number of games each week so they can choose between three rewards.

Here's a breakdown of how many wins are needed each week –

• 4 Wins = Basic Rewards
• 8 Wins = Advanced Rewards

Milestone rewards are paid out at the end of each season and only require FUT fans to play a certain number of matches. Win, lose, or draw, as long as you don't quit before the 90 minutes are up, you'll keep seeing your total climb.

The quality of rewards increases depending on which league you're in when the season ends. Here's how many matches are needed to earn Milestone rewards:

How Long Do Division Rivals Seasons Last in FIFA 22?

EA is turning Division Rivals into a seasonal competition this year, tied to the regular FUT Seasons, which last roughly 6 weeks.

At the start of each season, player progress resets for everyone to a lower Division. Which Division you land in will depend on which Division you managed to finish the previous Season in.

When Does the New Division Rivals Version Launch in FIFA 22?

Division Rivals in FIFA 22 is played in weekly sessions that start on Thursdays and run until the following Thursday. Naturally, this means rewards are released at the following times whenever these periods refresh.
