OSM's Best Youth Scout List for Every Position

Central Midfielder

For central midfielders, I mostly picked from La Liga. Pedri, Valverde, and Bellingham are my top choices. Pedri is going to be the best midfielder in the world down the line too, he's guaranteed a top-three spot at worst. When you search for Pedri, you can also pull up Gavi at the same time (even though their ratings aren't identical). Searching for Pedri won't give a 100% match, but there's a high chance Gavi will come up too, so you can kill two birds with one stone ;)

Attacking Midfielder

For attacking midfielders, my first pick, if you haven't set up the Germany league, should be Musiala straight away. He's very young and one of the most talented players in his age range. Since he's developing so fast, I put him as my top choice. Mason Mount, Havertz, and Ødegaard are my other picks. If you ask which one I like the most out of these, I'd recommend taking Ødegaard as your second pick right away. Since he's Norwegian, he's also easy to search for. The moment you run a specific search for Norway and England, he'll pop right up.

Right Winger

The best player on the right wing is definitely Bukayo Saka, no question about it. If you haven't done the Premier League, I'd say add him to your team right away because of both his age and his rating. Antony from Manchester United and Rodrygo from Real Madrid are my other picks. But if you ask who I'd take, I see Saka and Antony as the priority.

Left Winger

There are some great options on the left wing. My first pick is Rafael Leão. If you haven't done the Italy league, he's currently the best winger in his age range. He plays incredibly, they genuinely can't get the ball off his feet. He's also developing very fast. His age is right in the sweet spot too. You can pull Leão straight away. As everyone knows, the second pick is Vini Jr., one of the most reliable scout searches. Rashford always puts up good stats wherever he goes. He always delivers, which is why I listed him as the third pick despite being 25. If you can't get any of these three, you can also try Sancho, but definitely don't go for him as your first choice!

Striker

At striker, Mbappé and Haaland are obviously going to be the first two picks. In fact, if you're short a forward, you might want to build a scout list around Mbappé before any other position. But keep in mind, everyone else will be thinking about these two players just like you, and they might move faster than you and grab Mbappé and Haaland first. So if you'd rather go for slightly different players instead of the ones everyone's chasing, I also added Osimhen, Vlahović, and Julián Álvarez to this list. Osimhen from Napoli is playing very well too. He's genuinely good both in real life and in OSM. Vlahović is also both young and someone people don't immediately think of. His search is also quite different (Nationality: Serbian, League: Italy), so you can find him quickly. Álvarez in particular is a player not many people think of. He's very young and can develop very fast. Don't put him among your first picks, but later in the game, if no one's grabbed him yet, you can go straight for Álvarez.
