With the OSM counter tactic against camping opponents, we can assume it's likely that your team is strong or that your opponent badly needs points. Because of this, we're building our tactic in a more attacking shape and assuming the opponent is weaker than us. We'll use a 4-3-3 B formation.

What Are the Details of the Tactical Setup?

Goalkeeper and Defensive Line

As always, your goalkeeper should be one of your best players. In the defensive line, at least three of your four defenders should be centre-backs. You could even play with four centre-backs if possible. For example, centre-backs with low attacking ability, like Maguire, are preferable. If you have defenders with low attacking stats, use them in the defensive line.

Midfield and Attack

In midfield, you should set one player to balanced and the rest to attacking. For example, use a balanced player in the number 6 position. The other two midfielders should be attack-focused. Up front, use the best attackers you have. Players with high attacking power are preferable.

Use the Wings and Go Easy on Tackles

Playing through the wings will be effective with this tactic. Be as gentle as possible with your tackles, because playing aggressively carries a big risk when your opponent is camping. If the referee's leniency allows, you can make normal tackles. In your line instructions, pull your forwards back, have your midfielders sit deeper, and keep your defenders in position. This setup is highly effective against camping opponents.

Sliders and Other Settings

In the sliders section, set your pressing to 77. You can keep your style and tempo settings between 55 and 65. Use zonal marking and be sure to enable the offside trap. These settings will neutralize your opponent's camping strategy and strengthen your defense.
