What Should the Counter Tactic Against OSM's Passing Game Be?

The weapon you absolutely need against someone using the passing game in OSM is Wing Play. Since the opponent will usually attack through the middle with lots of passing, using the wings targets the opponent's weak flanks and lets you launch sudden attacks through the open spaces.

What Instructions Should Be Given for the Counter Tactic Against OSM's Passing Game?

The answer to this question can change depending on the instructions the opponent gives, but we worked out the general logic of what could be set and built our instructions accordingly.

With the Wing Play tactic, the opponent's desired passing game is blocked by meeting them deep; attacks are launched from the back, with the fullbacks making runs through the opponent's weak flanks to fill the gaps, but while doing so, instructions are also given for the midfield to support the defense so no gaps appear at the back. This way the wingers and fullbacks will cut straight through the opponent's defense, because since the opposing team usually attacks and positions itself through the center, wing attacks will be their undoing.
