If you switch your graphics card's control panel setting from "quality" to "performance," you can trade a bit of visual quality for smoother, higher FPS values.

• For Nvidia Graphics Cards

If you're using an Nvidia graphics card, first right-click on your desktop to open the Nvidia Control Panel. Then go to 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings > Global Settings tab and select "Use my preference emphasizing." Just like with the graphics card settings, the quality setting should be changed to "performance."

• Windows Settings

From the desktop, right-click "This PC" and select Properties at the bottom. On the Properties page that opens, click "Advanced system settings" at the bottom left. In the window that opens, go to "Settings" under the Performance section at the top. Finally, select "Adjust for best performance" in this section, click Apply, and close the window.

Then go to Start > Run, type %temp% in the window that opens, and you'll enter the folder holding Windows and temporary application files. You need to delete all the files you see in this folder.

Rust Steam Launch Options 2021

We've put together the launch options you can use for a better experience while playing Rust. Open the Steam app, then right-click Rust and go to Properties. Here, click "Set Launch Options" and enter whichever of the commands shared below suits you best.

In the CpuCount field, enter however many cores your processor has. In the ExThreads field, for Amd processors you should enter your core count as is. For Intel processors, you should multiply your core count by 2. For example, if you have 4 cores, you should enter 8.

In the MaxMem field, enter the MB equivalent of however many GB of RAM you have. For example: 8192 for 8 GB, 4096 for 4 GB of RAM.

In the Friends section; Turn off the option to show a notification when any friend starts a game. Turn off the option to show a notification when any friend comes online. Turn off the option to show a notification and play a sound when you receive a message.

In the Interface section; By turning off all the settings, you can prevent FPS drops that might occur during gameplay.

In-Game Settings Go into the in-game settings. Then go into the graphics settings and set them to the lowest level.

The lower you keep your resolution, the higher an FPS value you can get.
