How Do You Change Your Cat's Appearance in Stray? (Cat Customization Options)

Unfortunately, you can't customize your cat in Stray. You're given a small backpack early on and you find a nice robot companion named B-12, but you can't freely change your appearance. Any change to your cat's look is shaped by the story. We might see a DLC or some cosmetic changes in the future, but nothing like that exists yet. If you want to see your cat's appearance change, you'll need to keep playing the game until that happens. You can see a few small changes without waiting too long. You can also pick up special items from your backpack. You can enter hidden areas and discover new things there.

How Do You Meow in Stray?

You can meow in Stray during a cutscene and whenever you want. Just press the circle button on your DualSense to make your cat meow. You can even do this while your cat is sleeping. While it doesn't seem to serve a purpose in terms of game mechanics, being able to do it any time and enjoying it can turn into quite a fun activity.

How Do You Jump in Stray?

Since Stray doesn't have a free jump system (it's designed to mimic a cat's relative gracefulness), you can only jump to specific ledges. To do this, all you need to do is click the X next to a ledge, and the cat will cross over. The game might not flow well with fiddly platforming sections, so it removes that in favor of a more puzzle-focused approach. It can take a bit of time to get used to, but once you do, you'll find it's an extremely nice experience. You can hold down the X button to jump across multiple gaps in a row. In the middle of a chase scene, this feature works surprisingly well. Eventually, you gradually learn which jumps you can make and which ones are a bit too big for you, and you build your strategy around that.
