TFT Set 6.5 PBE Tier List: Most-Played Meta Comps

TFT Set 6.5 is quickly becoming a fan favorite. Along the way, players have been swept up in the excitement of a brand new set. The one thing these excited players keep searching for is, what is the TFT Set 6.5 meta comp? After a bit of research, we wanted to put together an article on the most-played meta compositions on the LoL PBE server. Here are the meta compositions being tested most on the PBE server!

What Are the TFT Set 6.5 Meta Compositions?

Syndicate/Arcanist Ahri

Everyone's favorite AP carry is back in the middle of this set as a Syndicate Arcanist carry at 4-cost. Her ability, Q "Deceive Orb," casts one more orb every time she does this in combat, and after the 3rd or 4th cast it finishes off the board wipe. Even though the damage doesn't stack (only the AOE increases), the damage was quite high during Trade's playtest, and with a solid frontline, Ahri consistently wiped the board. Ahri will most likely be played one of two ways, either as a stall, drain-tank composition on a vertical Syndicates board, or as a burst composition on a vertical Arcanists board.

If played with 5-7 Syndicates, she'll probably be paired with 2 Arcanists as well as some stalling support units like Enchanters and Scholars. She'll most likely want to run items like Blue Buff, Morellonomicon (though Morellonomicon can also go on plenty of other champions in the comp, like Morgana and Renata) and Rabadon's Deathcap; that said, damage items like Jeweled Gauntlet, Infinity Edge (with JG), Hextech Gunblade, Giant Slayer, etc. should all be great on her too.

Striker Irelia

The reset AD threat that has taken over multiple TFT sets shows up once again, this time as one of the best AD carries at 4-cost. Her ability Q, "Bladesurge," is a 30-mana nuke that reapplies instantly to the lowest-health enemy if she kills her first target with it. TFT veterans will remember how oppressive Set 3 Cybernetics Irelia was. Fortunately, Irelia is back with Scrap and Striker tags, so she'll likely be less powerful than Set 3 Irelia; but only time will tell.

Irelia will probably be played with 2-3 Socialites, a strong frontline, and some support units, the way Fiora is currently played. Alternatively, since she slots in fairly easily with Rek'Sai, who is also a Bruiser, she can be paired with a 4 Bruiser frontline. She might also be played as a bench carry on 6 Scrap, but that looks less likely. If it's anything like Set 3 itself, her ideal items will probably be Infinity Edge, Last Whisper, and Bloodthirster, though items like Giant Slayer, Edge of Night, Quicksilver, Hand of Justice, etc. can all be great on her too.

Striker/Hextech Sivir

Similarly, Sivir is another 4-cost carry returning with a previous ability: her R - On the Hunt. It's essentially the same ability as her Set 4 counterpart, giving herself attack speed and causing her attacks to ricochet, but some of the numbers were buffed to compensate for the jump from 3-cost to 4-cost.

Sivir will most likely be played on Hextechs, but she can also be paired with Bruisers, Socialites, Colossus, Bodyguards, or basically any frontline that's good in general. Her best-in-slot items will probably be Last Whisper, Giant Slayer, and Guinsoo's Rageblade, though items like Infinity Edge, Rapid Firecannon, Quicksilver, Edge of Night, Bloodthirster, etc. should all be great on her too; she'll likely be competing with items for Set 5 Draven/Aphelios or Set 6 Jhin.

Sniper/Clockwork Jhin

Jhin stays the same in Set 6.5 and needs no introduction. He'll most likely still be very strong; but with Jhin's favorite support units, Sion, Yuumi, and Janna, being removed, players will need to innovate and find new ways to support TFT's most satisfying marksman.

Trade has a bit of a random theorycraft above, but as time goes on, players will find better ways to play Jhin comps. His best-in-slot items will likely stay the same, favoring items like Infinity Edge, Last Whisper, and Giant Slayer, though all AD items work great on him.

Renata Scholar/Stall

Renata is a new champion joining the League of Legends universe, and she'll also be added as a new unit in TFT Set 6.5. Her ability is "Poison Wave," sending a poisonous wave toward the largest group of enemies and poisoning them for 15 seconds. Poisoned enemies have their attack speed slowed, and this ability's damage can stack. Renata can be played as a supportive unit in most comps, dealing a bit of damage in the process (similar to Orianna and Seraphine), or she could also be played as a carry with a comp built around her.

Renata deals damage over time, which means she'll benefit from an extremely strong frontline as well as plenty of supportive and enchanting units. Her best-in-slot items will definitely be Spear of Shojin and Morellonomicon. Her last item can be any damage item, but to really lean into the stalling win condition, Hextech Gunblade or Archangel's Staff will probably be her best-in-slot item. Trade is skeptical about what her best comp will end up looking like, but something like the composition above looks like a good starting point. She might also be played with a Colossus frontline and Socialites (Senna, Galio, Seraphine) for maximum stalling and healing.
