Top 7 New Cryptocurrencies to Earn Gains
Elrond, Axie Infinity, Flow, Clover Finance, Star Atlas, Only1, and Audius top this list of new cryptocurrencies worth watching for gains.
- Elrond's blockchain claims a processing capacity of 15,000 TPS, six-second latency, and transaction costs of only $0.001.
- Axie Infinity lets users collect, breed, and battle NFT creatures called Axies, earning the project's native AXS token through a play-to-earn model.
- Only1, built on Solana, is described as the first NFT-backed social media platform, using Creator Genesis NFTs and Content NFT farming.
The crypto industry is extremely rich with projects of every kind. In fact, saying there are a lot of them would be an understatement. Still, trying different things and using different approaches to solve the same problem is necessary to find the method that gives the best result. These experiments lead to new use cases and to discovering new ways of using crypto and blockchain technology.
In other words, not every new project will be good, and in fact most of them will eventually just fade away. Some will be shut down by regulators, some will simply fail. But some will succeed. There are hidden gems out there that will find their footing, deliver valuable use cases, and blow up — maybe in a month, maybe in a year, maybe in 5 years. These are the projects long-term investors are looking for, and we've put together the list below for you.
What Are the Best New Cryptocurrencies to Earn Gains?
Elrond

First on our list is Elrond, a blockchain protocol aiming to offer extremely fast transactions. Elrond's idea is to use sharding to deliver some of the fastest transactions the crypto industry has seen, and it describes itself as "a technology ecosystem for the new internet."
The project aims to bring together all the emerging, interoperable technologies like decentralized finance, fintech, and IoT, and to incorporate blockchain to deliver new, complex solutions that will improve our lives and, hopefully, the financial world.
According to the project's own claims, Elrond has developed a smart contract execution platform with a processing capacity of 15,000 TPS. It also has a six-second latency, and every transaction is extremely cheap, costing only $0.001. That's why Elrond could be a major contender for the position of future global currency — a position Bitcoin should occupy but has never been able to reach because of its own slow, limited technology.
Axie Infinity

Next up is Axie Infinity. Despite its young age, Axie is a fairly well-known metaverse project. In fact, it's one of the biggest metaverse games out there. It drew inspiration from popular games like Tamagotchi and Pokémon and works in a similar way. Essentially, users can access its vast world to collect, breed, level up, battle, and trade creatures known as Axies.
Axies can come in various forms and can change even further as users gain the ability to create fairly unique creatures with over 500 body parts. Each part belongs to a different class and comes with a different rarity scale, so some will be more expensive than others, and creatures made up of the rarest parts can sell for a higher price.
This is possible because every Axie comes in the form of an NFT, meaning users can buy or sell them on third-party marketplaces. They can also breed their creatures to create new ones they can sell for a profit. However, the main use of Axies is battling, and by winning battles, users can also earn — or simply withdraw, cash out, and spend — the project's native AXS token, which can be used to buy new creatures and strengthen their teams. This so-called play-to-earn (P2E) model is one of the biggest features of projects like Axie Infinity, and since it's as popular as the concept behind the game itself, we expect this game to keep growing in the coming months and years.
Flow

Third on the list is Flow. This is a decentralized, developer-friendly blockchain project designed to be extremely fast. The reason for this need for speed is that Flow aims to be the project where the next generation of games, dApps, and digital assets emerge, and it wants to be able to run them without hitting technical roadblocks.
Flow is also a single-layer blockchain built by a team that has managed to deliver excellent products for years, like Dapper Wallet, NBA Top Shot, and perhaps the best example of all, the very first crypto game.
Flow used every solution and blockchain product invented so far to learn from them. It identified their shortcomings and recognized everything they got right. Now, it wants to build a better version — one where everything done right continues, and the shortcomings are addressed and fixed. It now offers things like a multi-role architecture, resource-oriented programming, better consumer engagement, improved developer ergonomics, and more. As a result, it aims to be the chain of the future, and we believe that makes it worth watching.
Clover Finance

Moving on, our fourth pick is Clover Finance. Clover is a project that acts as a blockchain operating system. Put simply, it offers an easy-to-use blockchain infrastructure and a framework compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), making it a go-to place for Substrate-based applications.
With interoperability currently one of blockchain technology's biggest goals, Clover aims to try and close the compatibility gap between different chains, raising the level of interoperability and finally making the crypto world's dream a little easier to reach.
What makes this project unique is that it's designed to offer users multiple services. It's a true blockchain operating system with its own storage layer, smart contract layer, eApp layer, and DeFi protocol layer. In other words, it genuinely contains everything it needs to reach its goal, which is why we believe this project has a clear vision of what it wants to do and how to do it.
Star Atlas

Fifth on our list is Star Atlas. This is another blockchain gaming project, and just like Axie, it's a truly massive multiplayer online game that lives on a blockchain-based metaverse. The world is built on Unreal Engine 5, which lets the game deliver real-time events and cinema-quality visuals.
Star Atlas is a game set in a futuristic sci-fi world in the year 2620. It has three major factions competing for control of resources and territory. One is humanity, another is a consortium made up of various alien races, and the last one includes sentient androids. The game blends a number of different genres and requires players to build strategies and develop tactical plans for how they'll interact with other players and other factions.
Meanwhile, the main goal is to roam stars and planets, discover and find new resources, and beat others to them. Along the way, players can also use those resources and, in doing so, earn income streams, which adds a role-playing element to the game. The game is complex and interesting, and that's exactly what's already drawing in a lot of players — a pull that's likely to grow even further once adoption picks up and more people learn what Star Atlas has to offer.
Only1

Sixth is Only1, the first NFT-backed social media website built on Solana's blockchain. Clearly, social media transformed the internet when it first emerged about twenty years ago. So it's unlikely to ever go away. But the problem with it is that it's heavily centralized, and sooner or later users start looking for a decentralized version of it.
That's why platforms like Only1 are expected to take off in the future. Built on what is, so far, the most scalable blockchain, this particular platform lets social media users feel more connected to their favorite content creators on the platform. Typically, on traditional platforms, creators have to go through various middlemen to produce and sell their work, pay for ads and promotions, and enter into partnerships to get promoted. Only1 removes all of that with two new mechanics.
The first is the Creator Genesis NFT, which lets every established creator mint a Genesis NFT they can use to access various perks. They can also stake the platform's native token, LIKE. The second is Content NFT farming, which lets creators later publish exclusive content in the form of NFTs sold on the platform's own marketplace. Users can buy, view, and own this content, and can be the only person with access to it.
Audius

Finally, last on the list is Audius, a decentralized music streaming protocol that emerged on the POA network but later moved to Solana. The project was launched to find solutions to problems the music industry has been wrestling with for decades.
Some of the issues causing problems include the lack of transparency when it comes to ownership of music rights, and the extremely high prices middlemen charge to bring artists' work to the public. Audius aims to cut out as many middlemen as possible and let creators upload their work for extremely cheap prices, or even entirely for free. As a result, it will let artists and audiences form a more direct connection and build a lasting relationship.
It also lets creators earn rewards for their work by appearing in weekly trending charts. In the future, though, the project plans to integrate stablecoins so artists can offer paid content and get paid for it directly.
