Our agent joining us from Germany is known in the VALORANT community as the smart girl. Our agent, who has proven herself with inventions like her own nanoswarms and alarm bots, doesn't just have these kinds of abilities. She's a Sentinel, meaning a class that needs to be present in almost every game, though she does have alternatives. That's why we decided to prepare a guide about our inventive and clever agent, Killjoy. Here's the Killjoy Agent Guide we've prepared for you!
VALORANT Killjoy Guide 2022! VALORANT Killjoy Tactics!

What Are VALORANT Killjoy's Abilities?
Killjoy's abilities are designed to help you detect and stop enemy attacks, which literally makes her the perfect Sentinel. Not unlike her defensive counterpart Cypher, the goal here is to unravel enemy plans and stop them dead in their tracks.
Q Ability – Alarmbot (200 credits) — EQUIP an Alarmbot. FIRE to send out a robot that hunts down enemies who enter its range. When the robot reaches its target, it detonates and applies Vulnerable to the target. HOLD EQUIP to recall the bot you sent out. C Ability – Nanoswarm (200 credits) — EQUIP a Nanoswarm grenade. FIRE to throw the grenade. The Nanoswarm goes into stealth mode the moment it lands. ACTIVATE the Nanoswarm to release a damaging swarm of nano bots. E Ability – Turret (Free) — EQUIP a Turret. FIRE to deploy a turret that fires at enemies within a 180-degree cone. HOLD EQUIP to recall the bot you sent out. X (Ultimate) Ability – Lockdown (7 points) – EQUIP a Lockdown device. FIRE to deploy the device. After a long arming period, all enemies caught within the device's radius are detained. This device can be destroyed by enemies. This Lockdown device can be destroyed by enemies. The most important thing about Killjoy's kit is her Turrets. Cute but deadly, Turret placement is everything when you want to drain the fun out of the enemy team's game. With 8, 6, or 4 damage per burst depending on how close you are, and a healthy 180-degree radius, using these turrets will make every site completely impassable, unless you want a face full of lasers.
Killjoy's ultimate is clearly a game changer. While it has a fairly long arming period once locked in, it can literally force enemies out of an area and into the space you want them in. The obvious use case for this is when you want to retake a site or funnel your enemies into it, fully armed from head to toe. It's like herding them into a meat grinder, just with less mess.
How Do You Play VALORANT Killjoy?

One of the most important aspects of playing Killjoy is understanding that she's a slow Agent. You can't drop your Turret and Alarmbot wherever you want and expect to recall them instantly. Her abilities are characterized by long cooldowns, which means you genuinely need to spend some time in the practice range to truly get a feel for her. Thanks to her Turret's tactical placement, opponents can be spotted without you even looking at them, but it's important to remember that small weapons will be disabled once you step outside a 40-meter radius.
The same goes for her Alarmbot, so if you're relying on these to build a fortress around your site, you need to be in the neighborhood, otherwise they become useless. This is especially true after Act 3, since Killjoy now has a 20-second cooldown when swapping out her robots after recalling them. The other main takeaway here is making sure you coordinate yourself. Thanks to the strategic combined use of the nanoswarm grenade and the alarmbot, enemies can drop before they even know what hit them. This also applies to tight spaces. Toss your nanoswarms into a choke point and walk away as you cause the ensuing panic. That's the great thing about Killjoy: you can sit back, relax, and watch the world burn :)
That brings us to the end of today's agent guide. See you in the next guides.
